Most people don’t know about this condition, toxic shock syndrome, or TSS, but this form of bacterial infection is serious and not common. For the curious, it was first linked to tampon use, but in recent years, the contraceptive sponge has been linked to the diaphragm method of birth.
In addition to women’s infections have infected parts of the damaged skin, such as cuts, scrapes, and/or surgical wounds . It is rarely followed by simple strep throat, or simply strep throat.
The following are a few of the symptoms that make up toxic exposure syndrome:
- Vomiting
- Head
- Sore throat
- Muscle aches

Generally, rash, like sunburn, appears within a period of twenty-four hours. Other symptoms include severe redness under the eyelids or in the mouth. In some women, a large amount of redness may appear in the vaginal area.
In addition to the above information, there are a few more of them. These include:
- Confusion or other mental changes.

The symptoms of streptococcal toxic shock syndrome, or STSS, are similar to TSS, except that these symptoms may occur within forty-eight hours of having the condition;

Generally, toxic shock syndrome is treated with antibiotics. If the infection is large, such as an abscess, the doctor may be required to drain the area with the infection. Sometimes steroids are used to treat toxic shock syndrome if it is severe.
Like toxic shock syndrome, STSS is also treated with antibiotics in addition to IV fluids and administering medications to maintain blood pressure at a normal rate. Surgery may sometimes be required to remove the dead skin and muscle around the infected wound.
If individuals see and/or feel any of these: hands and feet have cold feeling, weak and fast. the pulse and breathing, that is, rapid and unusual, a physician must be consulted.
