With two small children and a husband who is cleaning another house, there is always something on the floor, be it dirt, dust or Legos. For some time I despaired of ever having my house fit for visitors, and waited for the day when my mother would see me, because I knew that she would be kind to me and help me clean. But I’ve learned some things recently that have helped me tremendously, and I thought I’d share them. Do not despair! You can have a clean house, even if it is full of messy, busy people.
Here are the tools you need;
Several large boxes that fit under your bed or on the sides of the table
Lots of dusting/cleaning cloths
Spray bottle with all the detergent of choice
Bread and a dusty broom
A dust brush
A bucket of dirty or smelly laundry and cleaning cloths
More scented candles or other aromatic art
Plenty of soda and vinegar
The first rule of thumb for a particularly well-kept home is to read immediately after you. If you move forward with a new plan or action and allow the detritus of previous actions to accumulate, you may find yourself bringing in a harvest of despair at the end of the day. When you take off your shoes, put them in the closet. Make your beds as soon as you get up. Wash the dishes to get dirty – or at least light them all and stack them neatly or stick them in the dishwasher. When your children are done with toys or books, help them put everything back in place before heading for the next activity. Even a 1 year olds can tote toys and throw them conveniently placed in a basket. or ark
Second, make sure you have lots of storage space conveniently located around the house. Shallow boxes can be slid under beds and dressers, and baskets are nice to hide while collecting toys, books, papers, and odds and ends. If there is a certain place to put everything, you will find it much easier when it is time to receive, especially if you find unexpected guests and need to clear the way through suctorium in a hurry.
Deep cleaning is important, but you may have weeks (or months) when you simply don’t have the time or energy. But you can make your guests as silly as you think you are. If you have carpet, be sure to run your vacuum cleaner through regularly used areas of your home, being careful around doors and under carpets. tables For areas that have been carved, they use a duster to quickly collect dirt, dust, and grime. I like to send dust to my toddlers and while they “kick” it all over our floors, little do they know, they also help me keep those floors free of clods and dirt. My dust brush doubles as a wet mop, so if there is a noticeable mark or smear on the floors, I can act quickly, except with a regular mop and a bucket full of suds.
Do your kitchen and bathroom carefully because they are supposed to be clean. Baking soda and vinegar will work wonders on stove top or stubborn overflows. The soup is cooked with soda, and a drop of vinegar on top. Let it sit for a few minutes, then use a paper towel to wipe off all the gooey, nasty mess. I will wash it with another wet paper towel. Keep baking soda in the bathroom to reduce odors, as well. Spray it down the toilet, down the toilet, or into a dirty laundry bucket. Keep a good stock of cleaning cloths and spray bottle cleaner to wipe things down regularly – really don’t take long. Starting with the mirror, move to the sink, then to the secret, and so on. If you don’t have the energy to empty the potty, close the curtain and no one will know (you can also throw potty chairs< /a>, laundry bags, and other miscellany after that sago, when your guests arrive)! You can keep the broom separate and like the brooms for the bathroom. Again, you don’t need to clean it all the time. Give it a quick sweep, spray disinfectant on the table, and skip the wet brooms once.
Finally, with children in the house, and life in general, there will be smells. If you’re worried about your guests snoring when they enter your house, make liberal use of the scent. candles, fresh air, and the like. If you happen to be caught without any of these things, put two orange-peel”>orange peel in a pot of boiling water. Cinnamon , caryophyllum and allspice, and you’ll be fine!
