WOW!
This film is a definite for mature audiences that can appreciate the intense storyline!
“Sleeping Beauty” is a movie based on a beautiful, pale skin college girl, (Browning) who appears to have no respect for her body. With her non-chalant attitude, and her lack of motivation, Lucy chooses unconventional jobs to earn some money. Some of these jobs include a type of lung fluid extract experiment, prostitution, a hostess at a sexy party, which is held by prominent men, and finally her job as Sleeping Beauty.
This film is extraordinary for it’s intense story, riveting characters, and Lucy’s complex relationship with her room mate, a sickly companion, her ex-fiance, and her boss.
Lucy starts to spin out of control as she quietly struggles with drugs and drinking. The intensity of the movie boosts as she is haunted by the idea of what these selective clients are doing to her while she is in her lifeless state.
However, as for the end of the story, it has left me with a couple of open questions…
