Stained Glass Headboard Craft Project

This Stained Glass Headboard is a fun and elegant statement that anyone can make in one weekend. I think this Stained Glass Headboard would look great on a floor or even in a vintage or historic home.

You can make this simple stained glass headboard in your own home or even for a special occasion.

Making this Stained Glass Headboard will take you about 2 days tops!

To make the Glass Headboard you will need:

Peel and stick wood

Clear plastic shower curtains

White fabric

Stained Glass Punishment

Paint Brush

Scissors

MDF Squares

Staple gun

foam

To start this Headboard art project you need to decide on the shape. Your type of stained glass headboard will determine what color stained glass paint you should buy.

You have to measure the bed to transform. See how wide it is.

Look at this space on the drawing paper and draw your plan. If you have a fixer, I suggest coloring in the color areas as you would like them to be. The more precise you are in planning, the less room there is for error.

You must also work with 12 inch squares, so remember.

You will want to cut the white fabric and the shiny shower curtain by hand to 14 inches square.

Cut your foam and MDF to 12 inch squares.

Once you have decided to design your stained glass design, you need to transfer it to your square curtains. I like the shape of the tape to the inside of the square shower curtain so that it is exposed across the front. Fill in as in coloring book!

Painting the Stained Glass Headboard is the next step. A natural bristle artist’s brush to fill in the colors. They work on the margins in each block color. You’ll cover the rough edges of the crust and the lead stick so you don’t make it quite perfect.

When your stained glass headboard square is completely painted, you need to finish to let it dry. While your paint is drying you can work on the bark and lead wood.

Take the outline from the head square and use this to cut out the bark and lead wood.

This is a great way to make your look vine stained in stained glass.

Once the lead is cut, you can install this. Carefully peel and stick your lead around all edges, just like real stained glass.

Now, use spray adhesive to attach your foam to each MDF Square.

Place your square stained glass face on a flat surface. Now, place your white face fabric over the stained glass square. they put the foam on the side of the MDF on top of that.

Shake the white fabric and staple gun to the back of the square. Repeat with the stained glass square.

Repeat in all the streets.

Now use L plates to apply to each square at the same time from the back. Just screw it together.

Now hang the whole thing on your wall with picture hanging hooks!

You can make this stained glass headboard as wide or as tall as you want to fit your bed and bedroom.
