Styrofoam Ball Wedding Decorations

If you make a lot of crafts, you already know that Styrofoam is pretty cheap. Styrofoam balls seem simplistic when you buy them but there are many ways to turn them into wedding decorations. When you spruce up a bit of Styrofoam you see that stunning ornaments can be very cheap. Decorate your entire wedding with Styrofoam balloons, and your guests will be amazed at the beauty of the room.

Glitter paint is one way you can make a Styrofoam ball that is perfect for a wedding reception. Make sure the paint you choose fits the Styrofoam as some paints will melt it. If you bought a big paint ball you can hang it on the dance floor and it will sparkle and shine. You can also take the art a step further and hang white, silver, gold, or any other color from the group.

Whole or half balls can turn an ordinary table into something more attractive. If you use a whole ball, cut a very small razor blade from it, and it will be straight. Use double-sided tape to stick to these corners of the square or rectangular board to make it look more elegant. Paint the shiny paint, and the boards will shine. Cut an old candle with a serrated knife and use that knife to cut the Styrofoam so that it is smooth and straight.

Make a beautiful table centerpiece by placing Styrofoam balls. Cut off a segment of one ball to use as the bottom ball. See this ball well secured to the table or even to the log. Stack and glue several balls of the same size (large balls are best), cutting each one small with a razor blade so they will stand straight, and glue the tower together. These can stand as is or you can push flowers, palms, leaves, vines, or other plants into the top of the ball. Allow some of these to spill over to the sides of the tower for a more beautiful centerpiece. These can also stand in the corners of the room. Make a much smaller version with just one ball and some plants. These are perfect for reception tables and food tables.

Cut the novaculata out of a small ball and paint it with shiny paint. Cut a hole in the top and slide the name card into it. These are glitzy yet cheap to fix the place makers.

There are other things you can use to decorate the balls and make table decorations. Glue on a plate or other cupcake envelopes, all around the globe, stand these pomanders or hang them around the room. Or cover the balls with white pom-poms to make winter decorations. Glue cheap rhinestones through Styrofoam balls and place them upside down in a wine glass for jewelry that looks very expensive but isn’t.

Run to your nearest craft store and be sure to grab some Styrofoam balls. You will see that it is not at all expensive to brighten up a whole room full of decorations. and let it shine – as befits this beautiful wedding day.
