Sugar Free and Low Sugar Desserts for Holiday Entertaining

It’s not uncommon for people to pack their bags during the holidays. Part of the reason that extra weight gain is happening is every decade, sugar laden desserts are on offer. Some people find it hard to resist. Well what if I told you that there is a way to enjoy the holiday celebrations with your family and friends to help folks curb the queues ? Do you believe me? if not, you should have. As a former special events planner, I have served many sugar-free and low-sugar holiday complaints in plain sight. Having said this, behold, he is quick to many demerits which have fallen upon the reviews of Flexanima;

Fudge Mousse and Caramel-Nut Trifle

Do you want it to look as bad as it sounds at dessert? If that’s the case, you might want to consider whipping up a bowl of fudge mousse and caramel-nuts. It is made with Smucker’s sugar free products, sugar free cookies and sugar free icing topping. From my experience, you can make a small bowl in less than 15 minutes. Because it has to be refrigerated, you can do it well even on the arrival of guests. If you’ve never made a dessert before, there’s a fudge mousse and caramel-nursery recipe that was posted on the Smucker’s website.

Reduced Sugar Pumpkin Pie

Many people consider pumpkin pie a holiday staple. So you might want to consider serving yourself a cheap version of sugar. For dessert, you need a 9-ounce crust, instant vanilla pumpkin (sugar free), canned pumpkin, SKIM milk and condiments. I typically use ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon. If you want to try making your own pumpkin pie, the recipe is available on the Recipe4Living website. There is only one difference between my pumpkin pie recipe and the one posted on the site that calls for whole milk. I prefer to use whole milk.

Sugar-Free Cheesecake

In my experience, a sugar-free cheesecake makes a wonderful dessert. The only downside is that some sugar-free cheeses have a taste and consistency that is about as appetizing as cookie wallpaper. I recommend that you try out several sugar-free cheese recipes until you find one that suits your taste. I found JELL-O to be a decent sugar-free, cottage cheese. I like serving in Martin’s mirror. I typically top it with sugar-free graham cracker crumbs and sugar-free chocolate chips. Sometimes I skip the chocolate bars and use a small dollop of sugar-free fruit preserves instead. I think it’s the flavor of cheese without all the extra calories.
