It is possible to find swimming classes for kids in Indianapolis all year round (yes, even when snow covers the ground). In fact, you can start out with classes designed for babies and continue with swimming lessons through childhood and even the teen years.
When it comes to a wide range of locations and types of swim lessons for Indianapolis children, here is a rundown on some of the most popular programs in the Indy area:
Five Seasons Sports Club in Indianapolis offers children’s swim classes and a variety of amenities as well
You don’t have to be a member of Five Seasons to enroll your child in swim classes or experience the luxurious atmosphere of this state of the art sports club in Indianapolis. Swimming lessons are offered for children as young as 3 years of age and up. Children are grouped in swim classes according to their age and skill level. Each class lasts for about 45 minutes. While children are in the water, parents can tour the rest of the club or perhaps work out with a personal trainer.
Indianapolis swimming lessons for children can be found at this Five Seasons Sports Club:

The JCC (Jewish Community Center) has offered swim classes for Indianapolis children through the years
The JCC has been in Indianapolis for many, many years and their children’s swim program is very popular. We’ve had our kids take classes there and they became avid swimmers. Like the Five Seasons Sports Club, the JCC has both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as basketball courts and snack areas.
Membership is not a requirement to take classes but members do get a discount (call ahead and inquire about current rates). When not taking swimming lessons, children may want to play in either the indoor or outdoor pools. Spacious dressing areas and a lovely atmosphere make the JCC a top spot for young swimmers in Indianapolis.
Special info: all tickets for children’s swim classes expire after one year. By the way, ask about the yearly Kids Triathlon Training Program where kids can not only learn proper swim techniques but combine them with structured children’s swimming and running workouts.
