Black Bear Jamboree is located on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. They also have a web site at www.blackbearjamboree.com.
Black Bear jamboree is a dinner theatre. when you enter the building you find your self in a toy store. There is a great deal of stuffed black bears all around you. This is also their gift shop as well as where you purchase your tickets. Once you get your ticket you get in line to go in to their theatre. The line goes slow because as you go in they take your picture. These pictures will be offered to you later as well as a chance to by a video as well of the nights show.
The video tape of the show is a great way to look back on this night over and over again. The video is a copy of the show you will see. They also pan the audience so that everyone gets on the tape. This makes you personally a part of the show. Great memory.
The picture is of your dinner party. The back ground for the picture is a large, stuffed black bear. In the winter photo the bear is wearing a cap and scarf with snow around him. In the summer the bear is not dressed up but a sign is put in front of you, saying black bear jamboree. The picture is an 8 X 10 shot with a nice cover. They usually offer both picture and video for $19.95 plus tax. To me it is well worth it.
You will be served a full dinner. The server will bring you, drinks which are all you can drink. They will serve coke, tea, or coffee. The first thing they bring is the soup. This is a very tasty cream of vegetable soup. The main course is also mouth watering. You will get a piece of barbeque rib, chicken breast, vegetable medley, roasted potatoes cut in quarters and flavored with butter and bacon bits. Last but not least desert. In November the desert was a lovely chocolate moose.
The stage show you see revolves around music, dance, and robotic bears that are placed on the wall to the right and left of the stage. The cast performs songs from the 50’s, gospel, country, and Broadway. The show by itself is great to see.
All in al the show, the food, and the people are great. So when in the Pigeon Forge area of Tennessee I would highly recommend taking in theirs great show. You would not be sorry.
