The 10 Best Futurama Episodes

As an adult Swim match of its genre, Futurama created such a huge following that it was brought back. Futurama wasn’t recorded as a full-time television show, like a straight-to-CD movie.

In honor of the new Futurama movie, I thought this would be a nice time to reminisce about the ten best episodes of Futurama. I like unusual and creative things so Futurama is right up my alley, because some of these plots are very strange.

Futurama Season 1, Episode 6 – A fistful of dolls
He checks Fry’s bank account to find out that when he slept for 1,000 years in interest on his savings, it actually made him a billionaire. Fry spends his entire fortune to buy the last unopened line on the planet but the evil Mom has to do something to line it up.

Futurama Season 1, Episode 9 – Hell is Other Robots
Bender
‘s trying to change his ways, but his friends get upset and turn him into an evil Bender. Bender goes out for a bit though and is banished to Robot Hell, where he meets Robot Devil, and there’s a musical number!

Futurama Season 2, Episode 5 – 1 Second Motion
Bender was annoyed by Leela’s pet, Nibbler. Once Bender decided to flush Nibbler to the bathroom. The professor thinks of installing an empathy chip in Bender so he won’t be so cruel. Bender then becomes sad about what Nibbler did and sets out to find the guy.

Futurama Season 2, Episode 7 – Head in the Polls
The price of titanium is pure air so Bender sells his body to a thrift shop. Head Bender in the Hall of Chapters. Meanwhile, Bender’s body is stolen from Richard Nixon’s head and Nixon’s presidential trunk.

Futurama Season 2, Episode 18 – The Problem with Poppers
Planet Express crewed a planet full of delicious poplars. The people row them back home and begin to go crazy with their new appetite. Unfortunately, they later find out that poplars are living creatures and need to save their species.

Futurama Seasons 3, Episode 10 – Fortune Fryrish
This is a great flashback event. We flashback to Fry in 2001 when he found the seven leaf clover that made him the happiest and at the same time there is a flashback to see Fry’s family and how they act after he disappears.

Futurama Season 3, Episode 12 – Insane on the Mainframe
Fry and Bender are sentenced to a robot insane asylum after being caught robbing a bank. Bender is having a great time in the robot insane asylum but Fry is tired of being teased and kicks back and proclaims that he is not a robot. Of course they just think he’s a crazy robot and don’t listen to him. Until Fry admits to being a robot.

Futurama Season 3, Episode 14 – Time Keeps Slippin’
Once the light-hearted and fun Harlem Globetrotters are now a middle-of-the-road bunch of jerks who love to humiliate other teams. Professor Farnsworth creates a team of mutant basketball players to battle the Harlem Globetrotters.

Futurama Season 4, Episode 2 – A Tale of Two Santas
Neptune Natalis is actually an evil robot named Santabot. When Santabot Bender is trapped in an icy log cabin, he must take love and joy and spread it. Little Bender knows that the planet still thinks Santabot is evil and they are going to launch an attack on him.

Futurama Season 4, Episode 12 – Where No Fan Goes Before
Fry, Bender, Leela and Leonard Nimoy’s head have gone to Omega 3, where all Star Trek have fled. When it comes to Omega 3, the planets are mostly run by Star Trek and produced by William Shatner, Nichelle Nichols, George Takei and Walter Koening is playing in the wrong games.
