Stone Cold Steve Austin is one of the most popular WWE superstars of all time. He rose to stardom with his attitude and great wrestling feuds as he battled superstars like Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, and Bret “The Hitman” Hart. Because of his popularity Stone Cold Steve Austin has been turned into many different WWE action figures, all displaying his likeness. Here is a look at some of the best Stone Cold Steve Austin action figures.
Finishing Moves Series 4: Stone Cold Steve Austin’s finisher and one of the most popular finishers of all time is the Stone Cold stunner and Steve Austin has used this move on many wrestlers. One of the people that may have got it the most was the Rock and he is also featured in this two pack collection. The figure is not the best detailed Austin figure, but was created to perform a Stone Cold Stunner on other figures. Austin is dressed in black wrestling trunks and the Rock is dressed in black wind pants with white stripes down the side. The package comes with Austin’s figure already performing the move.
3 Faces of Stone Cold Steve Austin: In 1999 Jakks Pacific dedicated a 3-pack of action figures just to Stone Cold Steve Austin. All three figures are different and great for any Stone Cold Steve Austin fan or action figure collector. The first features a casual Stone Cold Steve Austin, wearing an Austin 3:16 t-shirt and a pair of jeans. The second figure in this set is a more aggressive figure, taken from the fantasy warfare two pack featuring Andre the Giant. Austin is bigger and more cartoon like, but it is still a nice figure to own. The third is a replication of one of the first Stone Cold Steve Austin figures that Jakks ever made. Austin is in his wrestling gear, black trunks, and fists are clenched, ready for a fight. This was a great early creation and with the other two figures, you have the perfect small Stone Cold Steve Austin collection.
Stone Cold Steve Austin and Jake the Snake Roberts: Stone Cold Steve Austin has never gotten a single figure releases in the Jakks Classic Superstars brand, but he has plenty of 2-pack releases, this one being one of the first. Stone Cold Steve Austin’s rise to stardom began at the 1996 King of the King where he made his way to the finals to go one-on-one against Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Austin easily beat Roberts and this figure showcases that match between the two. Austin’s figure comes dressed with his leather vest and black wrestling trunks. Roberts’s figure comes in blue and green pants and actually is packed with a replica snake that Roberts often brought to the ring to scare opponents.
Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bret “The Hitman” Hart: His King of the Ring win helped move him on the roster, but it was his feud with Bret “The Hitman” Hart that eventually turned him into a good guy. This happened at Wrestlemania 13, where Austin took on Bret in a submission match. Hart won, but only because Austin passed out and the referee called it, he never tapped out. This 2-pack features both competitors from that match and once again Austin is wearing his trademark vest and has a look of aggression on his face. Bret Hart is in his full pink spandex wrestling outfit and the figure even comes with replica sunglasses.
There are many more Stone Cold Steve Austin figures from his time when he was on the active roster and more classic packs like his tag team the Hollywood Blondes, but hopefully one day Stone Cold Steve Austin will get his own single release in the Classic Superstars series.
