The Ghost at the Lake – A True Story of the Paranormal

I have had dozens of paranormal experiences in my life, and many times I have had a paranormal experience that has overwhelmed me. At first I deny what appears to be a phantom, and in time I attribute the experience or spirit to something completely normal and completely explainable. The following paranormal experience which involved a ghost in a lake near my house overwhelmed me, the first time I did not realize that the person I had seen was a ghost. This story sounds like a fictional ghost story, but this particular story is true.

Fishing at the lake

My oldest son loved to fish, and he also enjoyed fishing. A few years ago we lived near a private, totally natural lake, surrounded by trees and very secluded. It was beautiful fishing, and it was full of bass and bluegill. Although fishing was not allowed in this lake, no one ever asked or inquired.

My son asked me if I wanted to go fishing, and I took him up on the invitation. We drove to the lake property and parked the car as close as I could to a narrow path overgrown with weeds. My son and I walked several yards to the lake, and I chose a spot just wide enough to accommodate one person, and my son took several feet away in another open area.

A man of law

We both sat down to our private repasts, the sight and calm of the stagnant shore, the noise of the counsel of law breaking the silence. A man who was often seen riding a lawyer lived beyond the lake, and although he did not own property, he seemed to occupy the office of caretaker. Rumor has it that a man had his driver’s license suspended for drinking-and-driving”>drinking and drove, and he drove a lawyer on short legs because the car could not drive.

When I was sitting near the shore with a fishing rod in my hand, the voice of the grass stopped. A few seconds later I heard the sound of footsteps running through the weedy path. I turned to see exactly who I was waiting for. The educated man didn’t say a word, nor did he even look my way. I usually talk to people, but for some reason I didn’t say a word because it seemed like something out of order. And he looked at the water as if I were not there, and I turned to fish. A moment later I heard him walk back up the road. He began legitimately, and went on without a word.

I saw the Spirit

When my son came home, my husband asked how the fishing went. We caught a few fish, but nothing spectacular. As I was speaking to him, I saw the lawyer going down to the lake, and his face turned white like a ghost. He said that the man I saw could not be the lawman’s man, but I am sure he is. He said the man died three days ago. The daughter of this man worked, who is on leave due to the recent death of her father. I understood then that the man who did not speak and looked longingly at the lake was a phantom. He was doing what he had done in life, and when he saw a solid, living, breathing man, I realized that I indeed seemed to be a ghost.
