The story of Summerwind is one of the most famous stories of all time, perhaps because people call it the most haunted house in Wisconsin. Thousands of people shared the story, spreading it far beyond the local ghost. Although the splendid mansion is now only a pile of cement, the stories do not stop.
Summerwind is located near West Bay Lake in Wisconsin, in an area known for expensive and enormous mansions. Robert Lamont was a career politician who needed his family home during the long summer months. After exploring several places around Wisconsin, he finally settled on West Bay Lake.
Lamont and his family experienced some odd things during those summer years, though not nearly as much as what would come later. Family members sometimes saw spirits, and one night Lamont encountered a spirit he thought was a burglar. The man drew his gun and fired several times before disappearing, leaving a bullet hole in the wall.
During the 1970s Andrew and Ginger Hinshaw and their six children moved into Summerwind and things began to take a strange turn. The house had been sitting empty for several years, but the family had been taken in so that they could make a living. But he found some wonderful things.
At first the family heard new noises, as if people were talking in empty and closed rooms. The family noticed that if they heard a noise outside, everything would be quiet when they went inside. Then they began to see shadows and strange figures moving through the house, and even a female ghost in one of the rooms.
It is wonderful that all the tools that were destroyed suddenly and unexpectedly. The family called several people to come to the house and fix the tools, but they always found the resources in a perfect state. The family also noticed that the shutters and windows refused to remain closed and at all hours to open that day.
At last the family arose, fearing that they were in mortal danger. Publius Vergilius was getting ready for work one morning when his car unexpectedly exploded. The flames were shot out randomly, and no one could determine what the explosion was.
Then the family decided to spend some money of a certain residence. However, workers consistently found reasons not to work in Summerwind. The general consensus was that the locals believed the old haunted mansion was haunted, and had nothing to do with it. When Arnold wanted to do some of his work, he was astonished to discover the human body within the walls of the house.
Of course, this only falls into part of the story, so that there is no discovery of this matter. No one can prove that the family’s body will be found, because if they did, the authorities would never be notified, as they should have been. Some say that the family had been too long since the man was killed, so they had no reason to report it to the local authorities. Legend has it that the family kept the body in place, and continued to work in the house.
That idea seems to be a bad one as the supernatural activity only increased in Summerwind. Arnold and his family believed that the man was possessed by demons real ghosts Summerwind was an old spy who was trying to find the pact he had signed. Indians in the area, he had sole possession of a large portion of Wisconsin. This covenant struck at the foundation of the house. Why the league was established 200 years ago in a much more recent house remains a mystery.
Ginger Bober’s father later wrote a book about the house before moving forward with his plans. At one point, Bober brought her new husband, George, to her house, his plan to restore the house. There for a time they explored the place where the family had found what appeared to be a body, but it had already passed away. Some say this is because it enhances family experiences at home.
The process of converting a home into a commercial space took far longer than anyone could have estimated. Workers were withholding work or refusing to show up at all. The owners also claimed that the rooms changing shape and size throughout the job are kept, making them suitable for fitting new rooms. covering floors or walls. After some time family planning a little planning they decided to change the house and left it instead.
After this the house sat empty. A group of residents wanted to buy Summerwind in 1986, but the house was destroyed a few years later. A huge fire started, which burned out before anyone could get there. Now all the original foundation and a few remains are left. Unless you’re looking for it, you’ll miss it completely.
Although this story shares some similarities with Amityville Horror, including the same time, no one has yet come to beat this story. Then again, maybe even Hollywood fears the flaws in this…
