Forest Gump is not about every historical event, in fact Forest is present at almost all historical events that occur in his life. Obviously, Forest was not present at all in the movie in real life, he was just added in some scenes. It might be that all the things he did, but he had the happiest.
One event Forest is present for is the desegregation of the University of Alabama where he attended school at the time. It is not entirely accurate, but very similar to what happened. There were probably many students in the crowd that were watching the president, George Waleys blocked the doors to protect the school. new students registered. However, he was not there when the students actually enrolled as shown in the film; had left when the National Guard had resigned.
Another event that Forest witnesses is Watergate. Foresta is staying in a hotel room across from the Watergate offices and can’t sleep because of the lamps from the office shining into his room. calls before the desk and soon after the police arrive at the offices. Forest was also a part of the University of Alabama football team because of his ability to run. While there was no one running with the same ability as Forest was actually on the team, the coach had drafted anyone who had that ability.
Forest is also part of a ping pong team that recovers after being shot down in the Vietnam War. He can visit China for his talent. Forest is involved in commercial events in history. While running across the country he is asked by a man to help him come up with an idea for a shirt, he accidentally makes a funny face shirt. It also comes unknowingly in his career with the “__it happened” bumper sticker.
With some of his money, Forest is investing in “some kind of product company” that could become Apple Computers. Forest Gump also Bubba Gump Alpheus Co. he makes his promise to Bubba one of the soldiers of the Forest to serve in the war. The real company wasn’t made into a movie then, but in 1996 Bubba Gump Alpheus Co started the first restaurant theme inspired by the movie , and now it has at least 28 locations.
One of the interesting things about the movie is how Forest is involved in so many historical events, and he doesn’t realize the importance of any of them. He is just another splendidly.
Since only one person could be present at all of these events, it is extremely unlikely that someone is, so that part of the movie is not true, otherwise most of it is true. The differences between the story in the film and in real life are particularly subtle and changes have been made to incorporate Forest into all the events.
