On 08-28-2008 while I was away, two fellow Kirby vacuum cleaners/salesmen stopped by the house to show my wife the newest product in the Kirby Sentria series. Over an hour later, when I returned home, they were still hard and proceeded to recreate this show for me. Before I spoke to my wife on the phone, I knew what I was in for. I did not want to listen to such a precious void of wisdom. We bought the vacuum again and again and here are the pros and cons of the Kirby Sentria vacuum.
Sure
Today is 08-28-2012 (even a surprise in that case). It’s been four years and we’ve never had a problem with our Kirby. Change the belt, bag and clean the roller from time to time, and you will have a powerful vacuum. This is not a huge surprise, because my mother also bought a Kirby vacuum years ago that I remember using for at least ten years. Our Kirby has a little rust and a little rust that I think I got from wet clothes.
Strong and gentle cleansing power
Kirby Sentria like other Kirby vacuums has a heavy base and a powerful motor with a large steel head that makes a nice suction for floor and carpet. The front of the iron has a larger opening than the stock vacuums with the jet engine. Adjustable vacuum head by feet with 7 levels of height. If you don’t adjust for the right carpet, you’ll quickly buckle as the lowest setting drags itself to the floor.
Self Propelled Vacuum Drive
Every Kirby has movies and manuals in the back of the vacuum. You have to turn the vacuum to manual unless it is running and you want to move it. This feature is nice because Kirby’s vacuums are twice the weight of the store vacuum.
Kirby Long Lasting Bonds
The Kirby comes with several attachments and you can opt for more additions such as a shampoo system, a zippbrush, a turbo system and a floor care system. They included our Kirby shampooer, which we never use. It’s a dry shampooer and doesn’t do a great job. What is overlooked is that the attachments are made of plastic, and the hoses are almost impossible to tear off or break.
Warranty and Customer Care
One of the best things about Kirkeby for many years is that they have been selling empties. According to Kirby’s site, in 1925, the Vacuette Electric became the forerunner of today’s multi-attachment model and the rise of modernity. Kirby Cons
I think Kirby offers a good product, but it comes at a more than reasonable cost for a vacuum. I was offered my Kirby for 2000$ and I told him I would pay 200$. Final cost, $1650 for me, but they can go lower. I heard Kirby paid over $1300 a unit to dealers and office managers. At this price I could buy a new vacuum every year for 16 years.
Heavy and heavy
Although Kirby has great cleaning power, it is very heavy and heavy in tight areas. This is not empty for older people and is overkill in large apartments. Sometimes we use Kirby to clean our car and it’s just awkward to carry around.
Shampoo Ratio is not great
Kirby included my Shampoo and I thought I’d use it, but I bought a Bissell shampooer instead of the Kirby dry shampooKirby Bags and Belts
Kirby uses his unique bag and belt to carry Kirby’s supplies. Note that there are tons of empty stores on EBay and online Kirby, supplies at a much better price than the Kirby site. . I always buy bags that include a free belt, but make sure it’s a Kirby belt or it won’t last.
Overall, I would pay less for my Kirby, but I believe the Kirby is a great vacuum. I wanted to name the sellers who were the main selling point. They were not strong, they were informative, and spent two hours demonstrating this emptiness. I might not have bought anything else to shoot. I hope this gives potential customers insight into Kirby Vacuums.
