The Top Ten FeFe Dobson Songs

FeFe(Felicia) who hails from Canada, is a Black rock singer-songwriter who also models. If you haven’t heard of FeFe Dobson, you have probably heard her song “I Want You” on television. She’s also written songs for people such as Miley Cyrus. She’s really amazing, this young woman used a Karaoke machine and sent demo tapes to every single record label in North American at the ripe old age of eleven. If you have ever wanted to have a dream realized, take a lesson from her! She’d been stereotyped before as an artist like Britney Spears or Brandy, but she is total rock and roll. Why is it so hard for some people to accept black women who rock? I think it’s a breath of fresh air, because it is so tiring and predictable for every single black female artist that’s new to Sing R&B; or hip hop.

Her debut album FeFe Dobson, got her two Juno Awards. Her next album Sunday Love, I believe was not promoted enough, so The label dropped her . Luckily for us, she got her a new label deal and her next album which will be coming out this October, is Joy. Sunday Love was never released(hopefully that will change this year)and some of the songs, I am not sure what album they were on, but the ones that I know I listed in parenthesis next to the song.

1. I Want You
This is a cute teen rock song that has all the hooks that makes it a hit. This video is definitely on YouTube.

2. Watch Me Move
This song comes right after I Want You and is a song with more attitude.

3. Bye Bye Boyfriend(FeFe Dobson)
FeFe just does not play. I love the lyrics in the chorus ‘Bye Bye Pretty Boyfriend’ There’s a video on YouTube.

4.In The Kissah(Sunday Love)
Another great song. I love the arrangement, lyrics and all. I am hoping that her new record label will give her the promotion she deserves. No video, but you can still hear it on YouTube.

5. Don’t Let It Go To Your Head(Sunday Love)
This is song is just too funny. There’s a video of this on Youtube. I love the lyrics ‘Just cause I think of you in bed, don’t let it go to your head’ and ‘I’m the one who’s in control here, let me make it clear’ another well written song.

6. Pepper Spray
This song is pretty much a ballad, and the beat is infectious. No video, but you can still hear it on YouTube

7. Truth Anthem(Sunday Love)
Pure rock with all the hooks, a driving song. This one doesn’t have a video either, but you can still hear it on YouTube.

8. Unforgiven(FeFe Dobson)
This is a song written about her father. She has not has an easy life, and that is another lesson for others. Keep going for your dreams in spite of whatever is happening in your life. Be Strong. There’s no music video, but there is one with the lyrics on the screen with the song.

9. Give It Up(FeFe Dobson)
Another great rocker or it would not be on my list. You can also listen to this on YouTube.

10. Ghost
Her latest song I do believe will become a hit. This music video is on YouTube. It’s starts off with Fefe And a friend walking along, perhaps leaving a club or a concert with the song Watch Me Move Fading in the background. She sees her boyfriend in a car, kissing another woman.

I can’t wait for her album to be released this October, and I really hope America sees more of this talented artist.
