Go Shopping!
Do you enjoy shopping? There are plenty of places to shop in Downtown Baltimore! Check out the Harborplace Gallery and Pavilions. There are actually two Pavilions (right next to each other), and one of them connects to The Gallery with a sky walk for easy traveling between the buildings! A few of the stores in the Harborplace Gallery include Claire’s, Bath and Body Works, Banana Republic, GameStop, Forever 21, The Children’s Place, and more! A few of the stores in the two Harborplace Pavilions include Estillo Shoes, Fine Things Under $20, The Sports Shop, The Flag Shop, The Body Shop, and more!
There are quite a few stores through out the downtown area! A few blocks from The Gallery is actually a Best Buy and a Filene’s Basement. If you go just a few blocks further, you will actually find a Barnes and Noble (with two floors)!
Grab a Bite To Eat!
Are you getting hungry from all of that shopping and sight-seeing? The Harborplace Gallery and Pavilions are both full of places to eat! If you are in The Gallery, you can eat at McDonald’s, Sbarro, Saladworks, Moun Wok, Starbucks, and more! Maybe you would rather cross the street and check out the restaurants and eateries at the Harborplace Pavilions. Restaurants in the two pavilions include The Cheesecake Factory, Phillip’s Seafood Buffet, Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries, Subway, New York Deli, Uno Chicago Grill, and more!
There are a few places to eat through out the downtown and inner harbor area as well, such as McDonald’s and The Hard Rock Cafe! The Hard Rock Cafe is actually on the same block as Barnes and Noble!
More To Do and More To See!
There is more to hanging out in Downtown Baltimore than eating and shopping. In fact, there are plenty of attractions to check out alone, with friends, or of course with the family! Two popular family-friendly attractions are The National Aquarium in Baltimore and The Maryland Science Center! If you have children with you, take them to the Port Discovery Children’s Museum!
Looking to check out sports events, concerts, and other live events? You can find the M&T; Bank Stadium, Camden Yards, The 1st Mariner Area, and Rams Head all in the Downtown Baltimore! If you enjoy the night life, you can also check out Power Plant Live, restaurants, and clubs found around the downtown area.
Transportation.
Transportation should not be a problem in Downtown Baltimore. Some of the attractions and buildings are close enough to walk from one to the other. If you are driving, there are parking garages through out the downtown area (prices may vary). The MTA offers local buses, the light rail, and the subway. Some will take you around the area while others will take you to other locations. The Charm City Circulator bus will take you around the downtown area for free! You can also check out cabs (passing by or at a cab stand) and the water taxi.
There are plenty of things to do in Downtown Baltimore! Plan a day, bring your loved ones, and just have a good time!
