Three Great Bars in LaGrange, Georgia

I guess every town has their favorite local hot spot once the sun goes down. LaGrange, Georgia is no different. The only great thing about my hometown is the bars I am going to tell you about below are in a hop, skip and a jump from each other so if by the middle of the night you are tired of one bar, just walk across the street to the next one to see what events and people are happening in their!

Idle Hour Pub – 124 Bull Street

To look at this bar from the outside you would think that the size of the place is not going to be a great adventure, but as you walk into the Idle Hour Pub there is really more room then there actually appears. A massive bar in the center of the establishment with numerous amounts of table in the adjacent room and back bar area. This bar includes pool tables for endless hours of pool gaming fun, an air hockey game, darts, and a few other arcade games that will keep you entertained for hours. If that is not enough you can always watch the endless amounts of televisions surrounding the place that will always have the top games on during the season. And once again if you still are bored then pull up a chair, talk to the awesome local personalities that will grace the bar and order you some excellent bar food that includes burgers, pizzas, salads, sandwiches and so much more. You want a certain type of drink the full bar and local bartender can serve you up anything your taste-buds desire. This bar is a true look at our locals. Most of your down to earth country folks will grace this establishment.

The hours of operation for the Idle Hour Pub are for the Kitchen, Monday through Friday 11 am – 2 pm and 6 pm – 10pm. Saturday the kitchen stays open from 11 am – 10 pm. Tulla’s Bayou Bar and Grill – 124 Main Street

Now I know most of you are on the more sophisticated side so I want to give you an option with a higher end bar style. I don’t want you to think LaGrange, Georgia only has redneck bars! Tulla’s is smack down in the heart of downtown LaGrange. The taste of the Bayou brought right into the country living of LaGrange, Georgia, Tulla’s offers some of the best local seafood. While you are chowing down on fresh seafood sit back at the full bar that offers a wide variety of great drinks. The walls are richly painted and influenced by the jazzy New Orleans theme.

Some of the items on the menu at Tulla’s will range from chicken, oysters, salads, seafood, soups and steaks, just to name a few with price ranges around $16 to $25. The Lazy Peach – 121 Main Street

So I have given you a place where the local country folks live. A place where a little ritzy is what you need. Now, I want to talk about a local bar where the college kids hit up. The Lazy Peach is the warmth of the Gulf of Mexico brought straight into the downtown LaGrange streets. The decorations are exactly what your mind thought once you heard this bars name. Palm trees, beach chairs, beach music, sand, park benches and so much more that is tropical decor.

This bars is best known for the theme nights and parties is does host. Monday night is Margarita Night, Tuesday night is rock night, Wednesday is ladies night, Thursday is burger night, Friday is Lazy Peach Live with local live entertainment and Saturday ends the week with Party at the Peach with a live DJ hosting the event. American cuisine is what will be served such as hamburgers, fries, nachos, hot dogs, pizzas and so much more. Prices for food are around $9 to $15. A full bar is their for your spirit needs with any mixed drink tasting just like you are sitting at the open air pier on a beach.
