According to the Oxfordians, parallel universes really do exist. Many scientists argue that time travel undermines the idea of cause and effect to create paradoxes. According to David Deutsch at Oxford, the existence of parallel worlds provides a way around these paradoxes. In a recent article in New Scientist, The Parallel Universe makes as much sense as many modern day physicists. Andy Albrecht at the University of California at Davis calls it one of the most important works in the history of science.
So now you’re probably asking yourself like I was, “What is the universe like?” It’s probably best that I can show you some example in that kind of fu kung movie. The movie “The One”, which stars Jet Li, is set in three different parallel worlds. It deals with others from a parallel universe.
This is a different idea than what H.G.Well proposed in “The Time Machine”. By going back and forth in time, you go from parallel universe to parallel universe. If you remember the old television show “How Much Do You Jump”, this will give you a better idea. The show used the idea of quantum physics to travel in time. You say too much sci-fi for you. Me too. However, he is a very successful physicist at the University of Oxford, a mathematician, and yet the world of atomic theory fails.
In the Telegraph article, Deutsch argues that time travel varies between different types of objects, the so-called many-worlds formulation of the quantum theory. This idea was first realized by Erwin Schrodinger and written by Hugh Everett III in 1957. Everett believes that the present universe is part of a multi-universe. Each universe has its own rules.
For example, a car wreck has one lucky and unscathed individual. Another individual of the same thing was killed. But another has a wounded man. It follows only and second Everett.
Although some scientists call it contrary to common sense, two scientists approved Everett’s theory. Doctors David Wallace and Simon Saunders, both from Oxford, claim that Everett is right with his theory. According to the same article, the findings were made at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical-physics in Waterloo, Canada.
What is it then? It means that our great faith is in the multitude, and that we are a part of it. The theory might be in place, but actual travel to another parallel universe is another matter. In the article, Deutsch admits that there is a long way for us to treat the time or space of the universe.
When I first read these two articles, I was very confused about the idea of time travel. However, after reading them and just thinking about what these guys were referring to, I started to believe that maybe there is something to this. I once saw a program on a Sci-Fi channel that tried to explain crop circles. He had no idea that someone in another multi-universe was playing tricks on us. After reading these articles, let it be true.
I remember once saying that on Star Trek through Spock. “If all possibilities are cut off, it’s time to look at the possibilities.”
