Tips for Coping with Chronic Knee Pain

Knee pain sometimes feels like there’s no way to get around or continue with the day. I know how you feel.

I have had two knee surgeries over the years and the recent injury only made the pain worse. I came up with some things that helped me cope with chronic pain and helped me function today.

Strength Training

The first knee surgery kneewhen he told me it would be the best way to help me heal my knee and bring back the pain in the future. training my leg and knee muscles. There are so many things that can be done to build strength in the knees and help them get to the gym or fitness center.

Some exercises that help include chair sitting, steps, bike riding and swimming. Swimming is an excellent, non-impact exercise that can be done at almost any level of knee injury. Simple exercises like wall kicks or swimming laps can help strengthen your knees.

Sometimes when I’m watching navigate, I’ll catch something strong that I can simply step on and back. the floor I continue as long as I can, while trying to increase the number of steps every time I do it.

If a gym is available, work on light weight lifting, stationary bike, stair master and other leg muscle building exercises.

I make a difference in my knee pain when I don’t exercise my leg and knee muscles regularly.

After a recent knee injury I gained almost 30 pounds due to the fact that I was unable to exercise at all during recovery. So one doctor told me the number one to lose weight. The closer I get to my recommended weight, the less pain I want.

Other things

I try not to take painkillers or use drugs with chronic knee pain, but sometimes there is no other option. If I need to I take two aspirin and use sports cream on the pain area if the pain is just unbearable.
