You may have never made a doll before, but if you want to give it a try, they don’t get any easier than creating them by starting with a little fabric. Use doll clothes to make small dolls or small kids shirts to make older versions. Make boy dolls or girls for your collection or for a boy, and you will be impressed. with your work, you will certainly want to do something else!
It’s easy to make a doll out of a pair of pants and a shirt. Pants should be tall, long-sleeved shirt. You will find it helpful to make life size dolls if you start using them as a sleeper. Hot glue the sleeves closed, then cover the sleeper with cotton batting. If you want to stand the doll, the wooden back slides over each leg of the sleeper. Pull a pair of pants over the sleeper. He is now sleeping in a long shirt. You can tie the shirt and fasten the belt of the pants to it, or just leave the shirt down. It is best, however, if you sew a shirt or shirt so that no one can peek under the skirt and see that you are sleeping.
To make a pout, simply glue the cuffs of the shirt closed. Slip socks or small boots onto the doll and glue them together with hot glue. Make a head out of the knee-bi muscle by cutting it in bulk and weighing it. Work with the yarn until you can create a nice doll head shape. Tie a knot at the knee to keep the thread in place and then glue the “neck” of the strings to the neck of the shirt. Now glue the shirt cuffs to cover the mouth. By gluing on a “Gilligan” hat that hangs low and covers the back “neck”.
Although the door doll doesn’t need a face, because the hands cover the face and the doll turns the corner, there are other doll faces you can make. Make the heads from knee-high and use beads for the eyes, pom-poms for the nose and dye for the mouth. Or use colored pantyhose, such as brown or white, to make a head of them. You can use marketing to pull the plug on this type of doll. Faces can also be made using a needle and thread to create features. Another way to create a face for a doll is to purchase a device that plays faces. For example, check out the fabric store and find material with free cartoon images and more. Cut one face from the cloth and glue or sew it to the doll’s head. Other choices for facial features include peel-n-stick eyes from the craft store or even slightly wordy pieces for the mouth.
The digging baby doesn’t even have hands, but you can make a doll’s hands by casting a baby doll and gluing them to a long-sleeved cuff. If you don’t use a sleeper to keep your weight down, add your hands first and then put on your shirt. Get a different look by using baby tube socks. Stuff and glue in place or toes in socks. Draw three lines on top of the sock to make three fingers and a toe. Making four fingers look sloppy for a few s. Click on these lines, and then delete the sock to make the hands of the new doll. Make hands, arms, feet and legs for little finger dolls cut out of old gloves.
Make feet for the doll by gluing on shoes, booties or small socks. They don’t have stuffing shoes, but they do booties or socks. Take them back and glue them to the ankles of the floor pants. You can easily add hair to your doll when you use a hat to cover the top area of the head. Make hair out of yarn or like glue dyed in the whole length of the head. Lengths can be short for boy or girl long. Instead of pictures you can use doll hair from the store or even African-American hair from dollar-theme store. The hat helps to hide the glue area and gives the doll a more perfect appearance. Another way to add hair is to glue it to the cap. Glue the bottom of the bow, on the back and/or on the crack area, then glue the hat to the doll.
It’s a lot of fun to make your own s s and you’ll find that it’s really simple to do when you start with small clothing choices. The perfect dolls are so cute, you can give them as gifts or add to your existing collection! Or start by creating a new collection of boys and girls, sitting and lying on the bed; and more. You might not know it, but you are now a dollar maker!
