Tab curtains are quick, easy and economical to make and lend themselves to formal and informal forms of decoration. This version, when done against borders and tabs, has an immediate impact.
Tab curtains are hung from fabric suspended by fabric loops at regular intervals along the top edge. They are not as expensive as conventional curtains with gathered titles because they use far less fabric, but they still cover the window. /a> fully when drawn.
The same tabs can be made of different materials, and any width. To make sure there are enough tabs to support the curtain, put a space of two widths of tabs between each tab, and match the width of the tabs to the weight of the fabric and the size of the pole.
Whether hanging on a thick wooden pole with carved finials or hanging from a slender iron one, tah curtains look great in a variety of inns. . This version is lined on the edge and the tabs are made from a different material of similar weight.
Tab headed curtains hang a little below the pole, so make your pole at least 2 inches (5cm) above the window, or it will be light and drafty, though there is a gap between the pole and the top of the curtain.

To make a pre-woven tab for old curtains, you will need;
- device screen
- Against the fabric

1. Cut and line the curtains;

4. Making tabs:
