Whether your child is having a birthday, or some friends are just having some backyard fun, they will enjoy playing water games in and around the kiddie pool. They can play for prizes, or just play for fun, but everyone will have a great time. You don’t need a bunch of money to play various water games around the pool.
One fun game happens when they break out the old Frisbees. Float the Frisbee in the pool to create a “bowl”. The kids line up and toss them flat, a kitchen sponge into a floating Frisbee. You can give three attempts to each child or just one. Or you can use two Frisbees and have each child put a sponge in each one. Make a line and have the kids stand behind it toss. If the sponge lands in the tank simply express it and use it again. Don’t have Frisbees? Styrofoam plates are made for use.
A game similar to a Frisbee-type game in a pool by placing a Styrofoam plate in the water. Give the kids five pennies and put them on the plate. The boy who gets all five pennies is the winner. At this point, the plates can be played with Frisbees.
Before the party ice cube trays play another water game. Dye the ice cubes with food coloring and make at least two colors. Place several cubes in two different colored pools at the same time. Give the kids a sand scoop, a large spoon, or other tools to scoop up the ice. scoop them up and drop them in a cup or bowl next to them. he who digs the boy wins all the colors first. Other kids games can be played around the pool include throwing a ring into the pool having a hit and kids taking turns throwing a ball through a hole or ball having land on the shore at the top of the hole.
