A replacement toilet fill valve is needed when the toilet tank does not fill properly. The mechanism that fills the tank is the toilet fill valve. As the valves age, mineral deposits build up and do not move properly. This prevents the mechanism from working properly.

When deciding to buy a toilet filling valve, first look at the toilet tank to see what kind of toilet it is used for. There are two types. The first type is cylindrical where it floats up and down on a shaft. The other is a plastic ball that is attached to a stick. The ball floats on the water moving up and down in the tank.
It doesn’t matter what type of toilet flush valve you use. The most important thing is to make sure that the fill valve you choose will fit the toilet tank. This will only be a concern if it floats from cylinder to ball. The toilet tank is not big enough to handle the ball.
To remove the toilet fill valve
The toilet tank must be away from the water when replacing the fill valve. This can be done by turning the water valve located behind the tank. Flush the secret to remove as much water from the tank as possible. Remove the remaining water with a sponge or cloth. Caution: If water is left in the tank, it will drip onto the floor when the fill valve is removed.
The water hose under the toilet drains the tank. The plastic connection nut should loosen easily by hand. If not, use a pair of pliers or a moon key to grow.
After the water drops out of the legs, loosen the retaining nut under the tank. This nut holds the toilet fill valve in place. Remove the plastic valve hose from the filler inside the tank. Unclip the same hose from the overflow tube. The toilet flush valve removes the overflow from the toilet tank once flushed.
Install a New Toilet Fill Valve
Place the new toilet fill valve in the hole you just made by removing the old fill valve. Make sure the washers are put in place. Follow the instruction. Once the new fill valves are in place, hand tighten the plastic under the tank.
Attach the plastic hose to the filling valve and the overflow tube. Make sure to put any rubber washers in place according to the installation instructions.
Attach the water hose under the toilet tank. Again let him turn the water to the secret. This is done by turning the water valve on under the tank. Check your links for any freebies. If there is a pin, turn off the water and reconnect. If there are stubborn pines, the pipes must be doped to prevent any stubborn ones from leaking out.
Fill the tank with water toilet making sure the water stops about 1/4″ from the top of the overflow tube.
After replacing the toilet valve, it takes about 20 minutes to fill. It’s a healthy sign when the toilet fills the valve in your store.
