Top 10 Movie Quotes of All Time

My mother is the most avid movie fan I have ever met. She took us to the movies every Sunday afternoon, sometimes even on Saturdays. When cable was founded in the late 1970s, we all saturday morning would get up and watch WTBS, where the old movies ran. This is where I was first introduced to Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, Humphrey Bogart, and my favorite Gregory Peck. It’s true that they didn’t write them down, as I was working hard on the Top Ten list.

Here he goes!

10.) “Frankly, my dearest, nothing matters!”
What movie album would be complete without this classic, of course originally used by Clarke Gable as Rhett Butler in “Gone With The Wind” Although most kids today don’t know where this line is (and the explanation is often more colorful), this is true classic movies quote.

9.) “Run the Forest!”
This is a great line from the movie “Forest Gump”. Although everyone in the movie has said it except Tom Hanks, he will always be remembered. A friend of mine had bought a hamster that runs in his wheel, so he named him Silva and taught him. they bring the children to the feasts.

8.) “Hello, my friend!”
Screamed by Al Pacino in the movie “Scarface”. So I always introduced my Pomeranian puppy, I rest my soul. She was perfect fit with a huge personality.

7.) “…or do you just want a lactating face?”
At this point, one of the darkest movies is Henry Fonda’s “On Golden Lake.” The entire movie is delivered in such a delightful way that you have no choice but to watch it again and again. It never really caught on, but it was the start of the whole “shoot me with a spoon” California Kid talk.

6.) “Good job, get some sleep, I’ll kill you in the morning.”
From the movie “The Prince Bride” this is told that the boy Wesley is on the farm all night before going to bed by the Pirate Roberts. You said it in such a way that I often think I’m going to laugh. This movie runs through my head every time I say someone did well.

5.) “You thinkin’, Butch.”
Now we get to the good stuff! This is the great influence of Robert Redford in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”. I was a cashier at a small neighborhood shop and every time someone came up with some wicked plan, the whole group would shout, “What do you think, Butch!”

4.) “Heeeere’s Johnny!”
I didn’t know whether to laugh, cry, or scream when Jack Nicholson burst through the bathroom door and I said it with such maniacal joy in “The Shining.” This still gives me chills.

3.) “I’ll make you my belle…and your dog too!”
This
memorable movie quote working with dogs and kids still carries over to this day. From “The Wizard of Oz” he lives here forever.

2.) “What we have to share here is negligence.”
From the movie “Cool Hand Luke”, this authority was set up in the school system when I was growing up. It always brings back memories of the princes’ duties.

1.) “I am mad as hell, and I am no more.”
This is my all-time favorite movie since Peter Finch’s “Network”. If you haven’t seen this movie, now is the time. It’s a bit surreal how close to real life this movie has become. The trial stops a major network executive struggling with the onslaught of reality television.

There you have it, my Top Ten Movies Quotes List. With hundreds of thousands of movies at our fingertips, these old loves still live on strong.
