I have always listened to rock and roll music, throughout my entire life. Taylor Swift had a song that was played on both country, pop and rock radio stations. The song was titled ” Teardrops On My Guitar ” and it was indeed a hit. This artist reached both rock and country fans with her angelic voice and her beautifully sung lyrics. 10. Teardrops on my guitar. This song is sung in an unusual and creative story telling way that relates a tale about being in love with someone who is also your friend. They have no idea. They vent to you about their current love situation and you listen. You also hide very deep and passionate feelings for this person and only wish them happiness in their love quest. ” Drew looks at me ” is used in this song and those are the most popular lyrics. This song touched me with it’s heartfelt wish for happy endings for a friend, no matter what or how you feel. This song is on Taylor Swift’s debut CD titled Taylor Swift. It is so sweet and soft. I love it. This is the first song that I ever heard by this artist. It catapulted her into stardom. She deserves it. It only gets better!
9. Tim McGraw. Yes, that is the name of this song. The musically beautiful story is that this is a favorite artist of Taylor Swift. It is a Tim McGraw song that reminds her of a special love, a special dance, a special song and a very special man. Sigh. ” When you think Tim McGraw, I hope you think of me” is a special lyric in this song and it makes me feel misty eyed, romantic and very sentimental. Amazingly, I did not know who Tim McGraw was, before I heard this song. I only listened to rock. Now, I know. Thank you, Taylor. This song is on the debut CD Taylor Swift.
8. Picture To Burn. This song is an anthem to all who have been burnt in love. I really like the lyrics. They are revengeful and state what a mean man deserves! I hate that stupid old pickup truck you never let me drive, you’re a redneck heartbreak who’s really bad at lying ” and this song is almost as passionate as that Carrie Underwood breaking headlights with a baseball bat song! Taylor Swift sings this all with such class and dignity. She can make a heartache go away with her humor. You’re just another picture to burn. Yep, we can relate. Good job. 7. A Place In This World. This is a truly beautiful and very inspiring song! It is one of my very favorites by Taylor Swift. If you will listen to this song, it will hook you and stay in your head. That is a good thing! The lyrics ” I’m alone, on my own, and that’s all I know. I’ll be strong, I’ll be wrong, oh but life goes on ” are startling and bring reality home to us all. We all have been wrong. We all have been strong. Yes, life does go on. This song is wonderful and it blends rock, country and heart like no other. I love it and it makes me lift my head up and go happily on, knowing that I can. This song is on Taylor Swift’s debut CD titled Taylor Swift. You must do yourself a favor and hear it.
6. Cold As You. This song is something else and it talks about a place many of us have been. The lyrics ” and now that I’m sitting here thinking it through, I’ve never been anywhere cold as you ” really state it all perfectly. Some people are cold and as we fall in love, we realize they are so. This song is lovely, sad and truthful. This song is beautiful and tragic, with it’s stark slap of reality. I absolutely love this song and it is on the debut Taylor Swift CD. This song is worth listening to.
5. Our Song. This song delves into the problem that many of us face. Do you have a special song that is your song? Your song with the one that you love? Well, if you say no, you are not alone. Taylor Swift wrote a delightful song about this problem. The lyrics ” our song is the slamming screen door, sneakin’ out late, tapping on your window ” really bring back teenage love memories. For me, this is a teen love song that tells a cute love story of how we met our loves when we were not supposed to. Late at night. How romantic. This song is also on the Taylor Swift debut CD.
4. Breathe. The beginning to this song wraps you up and carries you away with the sad story of how love changes. ” You’re the only thing I know like the back of my hand and I can’t breathe without you, but I have to ” truly states how a long relationship is so hard to break free from. I can relate to these words and it is never easy to say goodbye to someone you love. This lovely song is on the Fearless CD and this is the CD that won Taylor Swift a best country music album of the year award from the CMA!
3. Forever & Always. This is a fairy tale song of reality. So many times, in love, we hear promises of forever that do not last. The feelings that come from that promise are emotional and worthy, even if they are painful, when it does not work out that way. This song’s lyrics start off with ” once upon a time ” and go on to say ” cause I was there when you said forever and always…you didn’t mean it baby ” and boy, can a lot of us relate to that one! This is a great song with a cool rhythm and a rocking beat. It is on the Fearless CD by Taylor Swift. Do not miss this one.
2. The Best Day. This song chronicles some of Taylor Swift’s life, growing up. It tells about her thoughts, her family and how she was lucky to have a loving father. The lyrics ” I love you for giving me your eyes, staying back and watching me shine ” truly say it all. Taylor was a lucky girl. I can relate to the loving appreciation of fatherly support. This is a beautiful tribute to her family. It is a sweet song that will make you smile. It always makes me feel good, when I play it. This song is on the Fearless CD.
1. Love Story. This is my favorite Taylor Swift song. It is perfect in every way, in my opinion. It tells a musical tale of young love that is so very beautiful and best of all…it has a happy ending! Now, that is the way to end a love song. Or a love story! This song captured my heart and it made me want to buy every CD this lovely lady made. The ending goes ” Romeo save me I’ve been feeling so alone I keep waiting for you but you never come is this in my head I don’t know what to think he knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said marry me Juliet you’ll never have to be alone I love you and that’s all I really know I talked to your Dad go pick out a white dress it’s a love story baby just say yes ” sigh….swoon. Perfect. Every note and word in this song. The video for this song is a treat. You must see. You must hear. I love this song and it makes me smile, sing and dance, every single time that I hear it.
