Top 3 Burger Joints in Pensacola, FL

The number of great places to get a burger in Pensacola is pretty awesome considering the relatively small size of the town. What’s more different than the type of burgers you can expect in these restaurants, the atmosphere and the dining experience.

McGuireIrish pub has been a favorite for 30 years. It is the winner of several awards and honors, and when you sit down to enjoy the feast, you will know why. McGuire’s extensive menu has an entire section devoted solely to its hamburgers. They house over 25 completely different burgers, from the smoky Gouda burger, to the pineapple Hawaiian burger, and everything in between. Each sandwich costs around $10 and comes with fries or baked beans. All McGuire’s burgers share a common bond, they are made with fresh black Angus beef and are rubbed with a hearty blend of seasonings. I highly recommend McGuire’s to those looking for a more exciting entertainment experience, as McGuire’s is the place to go that often features live music. McGuire’s Irish Pub is easy to find on E. Gregory St.

Jerry’s Drive-In is an easy burger joint. It’s a great place to bring the kids for lunch and milkshakes. You’ll have to come in and have a seat, because Jerry hasn’t been in the act for many years. A ‘locals’ eatery for sure. When you sit down, the menu will not come automatically, you will be asked if you need one, because most of the regular customers do not. Lunch was served by the team. The grilled cheese is $1.60, hot, fresh and made to order. The burgers come by default with lettuce, pickles, and mayo. But don’t forget the Jerry sauce! It’s the secret sauce that makes the burger special (it’s also good for dipping into the fries), and you’ll find a bottle placed on each table. Even if you can’t quite pin point what’s in the sauce, you’ll miss the taste, and the customer will do just that. When you come to Jerry’s, located on E. Cervantes, don’t forget your cash, this establishment does not take old plastic!

Govern’s Fingers and Wings doesn’t sound like an ideal place for a good roast, but what’s in a name? Sure, the chicken at Grover’s is tasty, but if you try their burgers, you won’t regret it. What makes Grover’s burgers so delicious and special are the tunnels. They rise golden, warm, melt in the mouth of perfection. Some of the unique aspects of what Grover’s offers include the goodness of the “Grover Burger,” which costs $3.79. Lose the mundane fries, and try an order of crispy fried green tomatoes, without a doubt the best homemade village out there. Grover does not have a seat for dining, but also for driving shots, and he has a specialty in carrying. It is great to pick up dinner on the way at home from work. Grover is conveniently located on N. Davis Road.

These are just a few of the many great places to grab a burger in Pensacola. So the whole thing is, and there can be better ones out there, but I haven’t eaten any yet!
