Top 5 Princess Themed Party Favors for Children

Are you in the process of planning a princess themed party for your child? If so, you might be in need of a few princess themed party favor ideas. As a former special events planner, I have a few princess themed party favor ideas that I can share with you. Here they are:

Candy Beauty Supplies

When I was a child, candy lipsticks, candy shaped beauty supplies and candy shaped jewelry were very popular. They also seem to be popular with the little girls of today. With that said, why not create a candy beauty kit for your little princesses? In order to create one, you will need a case of candy lipsticks, a case of candy necklaces, a case of candy rings, a bag of chocolate rounds and a beauty themed candy mold. You’ll also need a party favor bag or box to put the candy in.

The candy lipsticks tend to come in two varieties. There are the ones that I remember, which are made from dextrose candy. The second variety is made from taffy. Personally, I am partial to the candy lipsticks of my youth. Both are available through wholesale candy outlets for less than $20 a case. A case of candy necklaces usually sell for less than $10 and the candy rings sell for less than $25 a case.

The chocolate candy molds are available through restaurant and confectionery supply shops for less than $2 each. You may opt to get molds that are shaped like high heel shoes, hair dryers, mirrors, combs and hair curlers. There are also chocolate molds in the shape of handbags, hats and manicure supplies.

As far as the favor bags go, you may want to consider buying bags shaped like women’s purses. They are available through specialty paper suppliers for less than $11 (per dozen).

Crowns and Royal Jewels

If you would rather not give the kids sweets as a party favor, you may want to consider using toy tiaras and costume jewelry instead. I would recommend that you consider purchasing those items, in bulk, through a party supply shop. In my experience a dozen princess tiaras and rings will tend to cost you around $20. Depending on your budget, you may want to include a royal scepter as well. Royal scepters tend to sell for $3 apiece.

Princess Mugs

In fairy tales, princesses are known to enjoy a spot of tea with cookies and scones. Therefore, you may want to use a princess mug stuffed with fancy tea bags as a party favor. I would also pair it with a bag full of delicate cookies or scones.

Princess mugs are available through most party supply shops. In my experience, a dozen princess cups typically sells for less than $11. The tea bags, tea cookies and scones can be purchased through your local grocery story. You may also opt to make your own tea cookies and scones. If you do decide to go that route, there are plenty of recipes for each one available online.

Princess Coloring Book and Crayons

In my opinion, a princess coloring book and a box of crayons would also make an excellent princess themed party favor depending on the age of your child. In the past, I have purchased princess coloring books for less than $2 each. I’ve also managed to snag 48 boxes of crayons through party supply shops for less than $10.

Princess Stationary

Last but not least, you may want to consider creating a princess stationary kit and using it as a party favor. In my experience, princess stickers, markers, notebooks, stamps and other items can be purchased through party supply shops for less than $1 apiece. You could place all the items inside a handbag shaped party favor bag or a princess themed paper bag.
