Fishing throughout the Orlando area can be done from a variety of locations such as the beach, pier, and from a boat. When the family is fishing, pack a cooler filled with plenty of water, juice and healthy snacks so you can make it through the days of your long fishing adventure. There are also professional fishermen throughout the area who cater to first time anglers and families with younger kids.

DisneyPort Orleans Riverside Resort
Ol’ Man Island Fishin’ Hole is a pond offering catch and release fishing at Disney’s Port Orleans River Resort. The pond is stocked with bluegill and perch, making it possible for even the youngest angler to enjoy some fishing at the time. Fishing poles can be rented for $4 per half hour and bait is available for purchase. For families, Disney offers pole fishing adventures that cost about $13 per half hour.

Kissimmee Chain of Lakes
Located southeast of Orlando are the Kissimmee chain of Lakes in Osceola County. Included in the Lake Kissimmee chain of lakes are Lake Tohopekaliga (Lake Toho), Lake Kissimmee, East Lake Toho, Lake Hatchineha, Lake Jackson, Lake Cypress and Lake Marian offering a cumulative total of more than 100,000 acres of fishing action. The lakes are stocked with a variety of largemouth-bass, blue and black crappie.
These lakes offer a selection of boat ramps, marinas, fish shops, marinas, fishing spots and campsites around the beach. . Families can fish while camping or pack a picnic to fish for a day only.
Stick swamp and farm 13
If you plan your day fishing from the boat on your head to the stick swamp and village 13. These lakes are full. stocked with a variety of bass and more than 800 pounds of fish per surface acre of water. The two lakes, which make up 6,500 acres, are some of the smaller lakes, which may not frighten the young Englishmen. The lake is stocked with prime game fish and is a common place for catch and release. Stick Marsh and Farm 13 are northeast of Cypress and west of Interstate 95.
Pluteus Chain
Located north of Walt Disney North are 11 Lake Pincerna Chains connected in the Orlando area. The lake covers more than 4,500 acres and offers a boat ramp and fishing from the shore. Chain Lake Butler offers fishing for largemouth bass, spears, chain pickerel and crappie. The variety of fish that is stocked in the lakes can make anyone catch a catch of the day.
