Top Songs by 50 Cent

I’m not a die hard rap fan; however, on a rare occasion I have been known to listen to a little 50 Cent. While he is not my favorite artist, I have heard enough of his songs to complete my list of top songs by 50 Cent. I’m sure that my list of top 50 Cent songs won’t be the same as a die hard fan, so if you like it, ok, and if you don’t sorry, leave a comment.

“In Da Club” – This is by far 50 Cent’s best song, in my opinion. It was his first recorded song and was his first number one single. In Da Club” made it to number 1 on the US Billboard charts and stayed at the top for nine weeks.

“Get Up” – This single is from 50’s fourth album Before I Self Destruct. It’s got a good beat and when I heard it as part of a master mix on America’s Best Dance Crew I really liked it. This song peaked at 44 on the US Hot 100 and made it to 9th place on the US Hot Rap Tracks.

“Magic Stick” – This song was a collaborative between 50 Cent and Lil Kim. It was released on Lil Kim’s album, La Bella Mafia, back in 2003.

“21 Questions” – This 50 Cent single was released on his album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’. It was another hot song for the artist as it rose to the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 charts. It is a good song because it shows another side to 50 Cent, not just a tough gangster.

“P.I.M.P” – This song was another that was released on the album Get Rich or Die Tryin’. A remix of “P.I.M.P” rose to number 3 on the US Billboard Top 100 and the video was nominated for an MTV Music Award.

“Wanksta” – What is a wanksta? Well according to 50 Cent it is sort of a fake gangster. This hot track was released on the 8 Mile Soundtrack. It got pretty high in the music charts, however it never made it to the top slot.

“Candy Shop” – The song features singer, Olivia and was featured on 50 Cent’s album The Massacre. Despite the mixed reviews this song received it still made to the the number 1 slot on the US Billboard Hot 100.

“Back Down” – Here is another single off of the album Get Rich or Die Tryin’, however it didn’t achieve the same success as some of the other releases from the album. Its a pretty good song with a good beat, but in my opinion nothing more.

“Fire” – This song was off 50’s album, Curtis. It’s just another pretty good song with a good beat.

“Shake That Ass” – This was another of 50 Cent’s songs that became pretty popular and received a lot of play on the mainstream radio. While this song was pretty popular it is also very degrading to women. I had a tough time finding a tenth song for my list. I don’t really like a lot of 50 Cent’s other works and I’m not a total fan of this song, but I decided to pick the lesser of two evils.

Like I said at the beginning, 50 Cent is not my favorite artist and I’m not really a rap fan, but I won’t deny that he is a qualified artist who has many fans which makes him worthy of a top 10 song list.
