Just because you aren’t 21 yet, doesn’t mean you can’t still have some night time fun! Honestly, there really isn’t much to do in the way of “night club/lounge” type activities when you’re under 21. Unfortunately, you will simply just have to wait your turn to enjoy those types of adult activities. However, Seattle is a big, beautiful city with tons of activities for people of all ages, even as part of the Seattle nightlife.
The Vera Project
If you enjoy music and arts you may enjoy The Vera Project located in downtown Seattle. They have an all ages venue where they have music concerts, arts programs, experimental learning through live and studio recording, event production training and volunteer opportunities. Their focus is to involve participants in music production and community organization at all levels of the process, targeting audiences between the ages 14-24. For those looking specifically towards night time activities, the weekly concerts at The Vera Project are going to be what you want to look into ranging from punk and indie rock to hiphop..
Dimitrious’s Jazz Alley
For those who may be a little wise beyond their years with more adult tastes, Dimitrious’s Jazz Alley welcomes all ages to their shows. They offer shows featuring a wide range of jazz artists to suit various jazz music tastes. You have the option to reserve a table to dine or reserve a larger space for a group of your friends. Ticket prices vary by artist performance. However, they do offer half price admission for students on Wednesdays and Thursdays if you set up a reservation.
Studio 7
Studio 7 is located in the Sodo area of Seattle. This club has a 2 level showroom that hosts national and international touring bands. This venue is especially nice for groups that may have a few attendees that are over 21 since they can buy drinks at one level while the all ages show carries on at the other level.
Chop Suey
Located in the Capital Hill area of Seattle, Chop Suey is primarily a 21+ venue but occasionally hosts shows for all ages and 18+. Generally, much like any other place, you’re going to catch these shows on off nights like a Monday or a Wednesday. At Chop Suey you can watch a show featuring rock, electronic, indie, hip hop, world, alt-country artists.
Club Fusion
If you’re not really into the whole touring bands scene and you’d prefer to get dolled up and hit the dance floor, Club Fusion is the place to go. Fusion has events for 18+ and even 16+ often on Sundays. Get in contact with the club to get VIP access or have a hosted birthday party event. For the 18+ crowd, Friday nights are themed “Fusion Fridays” with a live dj and a Kube 93 emcee. At this venue the music mix is going to be a variety of Top 40, r&b;, reggaeton, and house.
