Visit Loveland Castle in Loveland, Ohio

If you enjoy good history and beautiful places to visit, Loveland Castle, also known as Chateau La Roche, is located in Loveland, Ohio. Built by one Mr. Harry Andrews, the castle sits on about an acre and a half of land and is a fifth scale replica of a 16th medieval castle, and models of those located in northern France and the British Isles. Along with the building of Chateau La Roche, Mr. Andrews lived an extraordinary life that visitors can learn about. The castle also has its soldiers; The Knights Trail was established by Harry himself. Harry Andrews was born in 1890 and passed away in 1981 from injuries sustained in an unfortunate fire accident, but his castle is still very much open to the public from April 1 st to September 15th sup>, 11am to 5pm, seven days a week and weekends in the fall and winter.

Having a big family, it is important to me interesting things to buy cheap and this is the best place to visit if you and your family in the province and also in the financial situation. Admission to the castle and museum grounds is only $3.00, which, if I’m not mistaken, is used for necessary maintenance and renovations to the property. Visitors are welcome to walk the grounds and see the castle from the outside and inside. The road to the castle is one built by Harry Andrews and to this day is still intact from the foundations. It is somewhat steep and winding, certainly your time in the colder months when it is more humid on the road.

Inside you can see a huge collection of things that could have been seen during the 16th century. The collection also contains two separate full sets of armor. The room in which Harry Andrews slept was visible but blocked from the entrance. Other areas of the castle include the kitchen, bathroom, living room, office, dining room, balcony, garage and pool: Yes! The castle is equipped with its own prison where children and adults can find a “crazy criminal” (a fake bone) locked up.

Notes to remember: When walking in the middle of the castle, remember that it is an old building, and built by one man, so the building has cracked floors in places, which are a bit exposed, but they are safe. The steps from the ground floor to the second floor, as well as the stairs going down to the lake are narrow and spiral, be careful not to hang on to your children and the railing as a slip or missing step will result in the inability to recover. your footage; but you must not go to the castle. It’s worth the price and time to go if you’re in the area.

Outside the castle, you can stroll around the lush green and floral gardens and find some of the absolute best picnic spots around! If you want to sit and have lunch next to the spring flowers, picnics, or down by the river, it’s all available to you. The Aegean, which is somewhat steep but accessible, takes you down to the Little Miami River, which can be very muddy after the rain, but is still generally a very beautiful area. The castle is available for rent for weddings and other events, which my fiance and I saw as a potential wedding spot. Visits can be overnight or arranged. An added bonus is that the rates are reasonable. Be sure to view the site or speak with the staff to arrange these and ensure you are adequately prepared for your overnight visit. Although it is still in season to visit the castle, it is rumored that they also have an excellent Halloween display, and they really do go all out, as they say.

The staff is very friendly and eager to tell you all about Harry, the castle, and the knights, so don’t hesitate to ask. Although you don’t need to buy much other than the post cards, you are free to take as many photos as you want. The first time I visited, I took around 120 digital photos, and the second visit resulted in around 60, because the area was so beautiful and picture perfect. If you love photography, as I do, there seems to be no end to excellent places to post unique photos. I also visited the fort four separate times, and although we were not the only people on the property, the amount of people was small allowing for limited packing. You can roam the property on your own, or tours to 20 or more parties can be arranged in advance by the contingent staff.

My fiance and I have seven (7) children ranging in age from 6 to 15 and they all enjoy the trip so the castle seems to appeal to all ages. As adults, we also thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As far as the site is concerned, I would give this place a 7-8 on a scale of 1-10 and will be returning for about a fifth visit, as every time I go I find something new that I haven’t seen before!
