Ravens Call M&T; Bank Stadium Home in Downtown Baltimore
The M&T; Bank Stadium is located in Baltimore at Camden Yards and is the home to the Ravens. The stadium is adjacent to the Baltimore Orioles’ ballpark. Other names that visitors will sometimes call the stadium are the Russell Street Coliseum or The Bank. The team moved into the stadium in 1998. Visitors traveling to a game can access it using the Baltimore Light Rail system. The station located at Hamburg Street is conveniently located near the stadium. Anyone traveling by car to a game should consider purchasing parking in advance through ParkWhiz. Visitors can purchase their parking through the company’s website ensuring a parking spot for the game. All of the stadium lots are reserved for permit holders.
Before entering the stadium, visitors can walk through the Johnny Unitas Plaza. Here piano keys made out of a stone mosaic pay tribute to the Knaabe Piano factory that once stood on the site of the stadium.
Outside the stadium, fans should also plan to check out the AAA Ravens Walk. The tailgate experience opens three hours before kickoff and takes place on the walkway between Oriole Park and M&T; Bank Stadium. Visitors can enjoy early bird 2-for-1 drink specials during the first hour. In addition, a variety of food choices are offered at lower prices compared to the stadium concessions.
The AAA Ravens Walk also includes a number of activities for families to enjoy. Interactive games include the Papa John’s Arm Chair QB Challenge and the Yokohama’s Precision Pass. Here fans can get their faces painted in Ravens colors and meet the team’s cheerleaders.
Inside the stadium, the Ring of Honor has displays on former Ravens and Colts players. The permanent displays also have signs with the names and dates of top plays that took place in the stadium.
Throughout the game the Baltimore’s Marching Ravens provide entertainment for everyone. In particular, fans enjoy hearing “The Baltimore Fight Song” played during each game. All of the band’s members are
volunteers and are part of the largest musical group in the NFL.
The M&T; Bank Stadium offers Ravens’ fans a wide range of food choices to please anyone’s taste buds. Seafood offerings including crab cake sandwiches and steamed shrimp. In addition, the Family Inn Bakery sells pies, cakes and cookies to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth.
Single game tickets are hard to come by for fans since home games are typically sellouts for the Ravens. When available, the tickets range in price from $60 to $130 for standard tickets up to $355 for club level seats. Fans are limited to purchasing two tickets per game for a maximum of two games. Seats can be purchased through Ticketmaster on the Ravens website.
