Website Review: Aquabid.Com

You know, I really think there are specialty auction sites for almost everyone out there now… I guess everyone is jumping on the eBay craze and coming up with smaller businesses to fill the gaps, so my absolute favorite of all the auction sites…Aquabid.

In case you can’t guess from the name, Aquabid is an online auction for aquarium supplies and aquatic critters. .namely tropical fish, sea bream, US native fish, snails, eels, frogs, shrimp, and so on and anything else they can think of to enter their care, custody, and “climb” their homes (ornaments, substrates, cooling, you name it) .

For people who are used to higher-budget auction sites (such as the aforementioned eBay) Aquabid may be the type. a few simple ones and a few tables (a couple of adverts have come up recently, but much less than one to see which is my favorite break). What is it? Well, site owners spend less money on site design and don’t have to spend an arm and a leg for fees.

Personally, I love simple design; there on the log page you have all the categories listed for you so you can easily go to what you want, or you can choose “new items”, “hot items”, “ending soon”, “buy now”, or “one-hour auctions” in the section sidebar if you’re just browsing and don’t want anything slipping through your fingers (or if you’re a hard-core addict like me and check “new stuff” every day so you don’t miss anything).

For the brand new fish seller, there are some very useful articles under the FAQ on the proper procedures for shipping fish as well as custom fare, how to order, leave feedback, and so on. Most sellers will explain their shipping-costs”>shipping rates and costs in their auctions and if not they definitely recommend e-mailing .first about the fish. This site may be small, but it attracts many top fish with the IFGA (International Betta Commission), and many others a href=”https://e-info.vn/tag/pet-stores”>pet stores at pet” off-line imports from Singapore (yes, sellers from all over the world are here!).

As can be expected considering the nature of the goods sold quite limited business in the categories of living during winter because the weather is so vague and the heat expensive packages they can achieve, in addition to what most people do, both for the safety of their fish and for other people’s beloved pets and they don’t want to hurt them in transit. The best time to find the best variety of fish is during spring and fall, although summer is not too bad. Selective and cold packs do not add as much cost or unpredictability as heat packs do.

Back to those fees… Don’t those I mentioned cost an arm and a leg? Well they don’t actually require you to pay anything… it’s free to order (obviously), and free to tell. If your auction sells for more than $30 the site will ask for a donation based on a percentage of your sale, but it’s not a small price to pay to keep this wonderful service on the feet.

I have been on this site since about 2003 (since I found it) and have been both a buyer and seller since. From the end of the sale, there have been a few times that I have sold my fish or snails for less than I wanted for them and I have maintained a 99.9% savings in shipping my critters via USPS Priority Mail with only the occasional buyer opting in. more expensive USPS Express Mail. My snail cookies never fail to please and it seems to be a big selling point when people can see my actual snails I advertise in food. Even with my listing for less than $30 for less than $30 I’m more than happy to pay my final payment fee because I know it will save the fee from being made and keep this great site online… Kindly know that I’m not required though, and there would be no negative repercussions if I can’t pay at any time.

By the end of the purchase, I have acquired more breeding stock than I manage to recall to live on this site and numerous food. Culture (everything from Daphnia to ground worms are sold here) and frozen food. In all the years this site I’ve only bought at one seller I’ve only run I wasn’t quite happy with for weeks … I wanted to find a suitable female betta that I had and I finally found one. I loved it and bought it, then the seller sent me another fish explaining that the one in the auction “had been sold elsewhere” but refused to return or accept the net on the less obviously cheaper fish. probably close to 100 sellers I’ve perfect transactions with and have often bought from in many cases.

Remember that the fish you buy here are a little more expensive than the ones you had in the pet shop, but they also raised decent stinkers. Instead of some farmed fish that has probably never even been seen by human eyes before it’s shipped to a package, that disease-free fish with a known age and carefully cared for in tip-top condition. from which he got a much better start of his life and kept much better water quality throughout his life quality. . Another plus is that there is a much larger selection of fish than you’ll ever find in one store (and if I knew, I’d love to see this store!) so you’re not limited by what’s in place. your aquarium

As with any pets, please make sure your fish before purchasing that your aquarium is prepared and equipped for them so they can stay as healthy as possible. which day they left the altar. If you’re unsure where to find fish and its needs and Google and library searches aren’t helping, e-mail the flock! Fish from the people who sell them, not from some kid who pays minimum wage to put them in your bag. If you are really serious about having clothes and a healthy aquarium filled with quality fish, make an Aquabid habit.
