What is the Disney PhotoPass?

Are you planning a trip to Disney World? I’m sure for those of you who have started the planning process, you’ve come across the term Photopass many times, and you’ve probably wondered what it is. Disney Photopass is a service that allows you and your family to take pictures of Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Now I must warn you that photographs range from professional to amateur, but in my own experience, I have found that the great pictures on my photopass CD far outshine the bad pictures. What I really advise people to do is to use PhotoPass at the same location (i.e. before Cinderellas Castle) more often, because if the eyes are squinted from with the sun in your eyes, or some people walking in the background, you’ll have a good amount of pictures to choose from.

So what is Photopass?
The Walt Disney World Photopass card is available at any Disney Theme Parks. You will give this card to a Photopass Photographer when you want to have your picture taken, and the images will be digitally placed on the card. When you get home from your vacations, then you can go to Walt Disney-disney-pictures> and preview the pictures. /a> from your card by submitting the 16-digit bar code on the back of the card. The Disney PhotoPass website allows you to submit as many cards as you want to the same account (as long as they are submitted within 30 . days of the trip), and from the Disney Photopass website you can buy CDs of pictures (you are given the rights to have the pictures developed where you want), have each picture developed and standard personalized merchandise with the photo attached (mugs, t-shirts, mouse pads, etc.). And the luxury of having as many cards as you want in your account is great for people who split up in groups or families during the day, allowing everyone to still have pictures taken and placed in the same account, saving money and time.

Disney PhotoPass PhotoCd is also popular. Many people travel in groups to Disney World and can split the cost for pictures; and many people join Disney Photopass communities and split the cost between four or five other families. All the images are placed on a CD-Rom and, as I mentioned above, Disney releases the rights, so you can have your images developed at Walmart or Target, and at save money in that area. Each CD contains a maximum of 500-700 images, so if you have 1200 images, you will receive 2 CDs with your images on them.

PhotoPass is also a great option so you can take your own photos of your home. You can add frames, signatures from Disney characters, crop and crop your pictures. This is where the 1200 photos really come into play, when you exchange 200 of your personal photos for double the amount of changes you’ve made to your photos for your personal needs.
