It contains good bacteria such as lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobacterium bifidum. These are probiotics that exist to help in creating a balance of bacteria in the digestive system. In simpler terms, these bacteria can help in having a healthy digestion process.

In most cases, when you are experiencing the troubles of diarrhea, it is better to eat processed wheat foods such as white toast and crackers. Processed wheat foods are very easy to digest. In addition, crackers are often processed with salt. Sodium is advantageous to the faster restoration of electrolyte balance in the stomach. As your stomach feels better and becomes normal again, it is important that you eat whole grain products because these are very rich in fiber. Fiber actually helps prevent people from going through diarrhea.

Make sure to drink plenty of water and liquids when you are having diarrhea. Juices from fresh fruit and vegetables are ideal. Drinking plenty of water will prevent your body from getting dehydrated. Take note that dehydration is most likely to happen during diarrhea because of the rapid loss of body liquids during constant defecation. Be very careful though with juices because this might contain artificial flavors, sweeteners, and caffeine that will aggravate the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
