Where to Find Cheap Grass Seeds

For the past several hundred years or so, the best places to go to get the cheapest price on grass seed would be your local mercantile. As we as a society have evolved and the way we move products from one side of the country to the other has changed, this has also changed the way we get our cheapest grass seeds. Today, we have many options to go to in order to find the cheapest grass seeds. You can go to your local home improvement store such as “Home Depot” or “Lowe’s”, or you can go to your local plant nursery. To widen your search, you can also go no further than your own home. Yes, I said your own home. You can look on your television during those late time hours on the weekends and see what kind of deals you can catch with that ultra famous catch-line “but wait, there’s more”, or you can even go online and see what kind of deal you can get in your local areas from local sites like craigslist.com, or even going to a search engine like yahoo.com or google.com and putting in your city or area and cheap seeds. You’ll be amazed on what will come up with just a few words.

You will want to know the area of your yard that you’ll want to put seeds down for. So by a simple math equation, you will be able to find out what the ‘area’ is in your yard for your seeds. You will also want to put some thought into how ‘cheap’ are your ‘cheap’ seeds. You are going to automatically figure that not every single seed is going to sprout, as there will be some duds. But you will want to get the best seed at the lowest price. By doing a little bit of homework, you will be able to find out what seeds will be the best for you, your area, when to plant them, and once planted, how long they should take before they start to sprout. The people who work in your area in nurseries are the best option to try as far as what type of plant seed would be the cheapest but still give you a good result. If you don’t find very much there, then I’d go to the internet and do a search on a search engine like google.com or yahoo.com and see what kind of information you can gather about your area. You can go for an easy way that has a fertilizer already around the seed like “Patch Perfect”. By doing the last option, you have a guarantee that the seeds will grow as long as you follow the instructions on the box. This may not be a very cheap way to go, but if you are looking for that guarantee, whereas none of the others have those types of guarantees, you may want to sway to the latter option. It is all up to you and your budget that you have for the seeds.

You will also want to check on the seeds and see how long they take to sprout and where you envisioned yourself having that lawn growing and having those strong roots. Different types of seeds are going to take different times to sprout and root well. So watch that well, and find out which one works best for your, and works best in your budget to get your yard sproutin’ well. And remember, just because it’s the cheapest seed, doesn’t mean it’s the best seed for you!
