When you work in an office where business professional dress is a must and you happen to be larger than a size 12, life can become very difficult. You usually have to result to potato sack-looking dresses and large sweaters, which aren’t flattering at all. So where you do go to find classy-fitting clothes that will show off but not cling to your figure? The following is a small list of clothing stores that will have those precious pieces of dress clothing you need for a business professional environment.
Dress Barn – This store not only carries business professional attire but it also has jewelry, shoes, and Spanx. They have two different sides to the store the Plus Sized and the not plus sized. Also Dress Barn is just about everywhere and also online. They have great clearance racks and buy one get one sales all the time. What is really great though is that the clothes are not potato sacks and they are made for the voluptuous figure. The sizes range from 14 to 26 usually. Depending on the make of clothes is whether or not it is coded like that or 1X and so on. The clothes normally are average prices. Another perk to this store is they also carry formal wear in plus sizes which you can’t always find.
Macy’s – This store is everywhere and on the web and is a great store for very classy and elegant business professional clothing. They have a wide variety and if you visit regularly some of the best sales racks. You can pick up $100 blouses for $12, so keep visiting. Because they are such a large store they have a very large selection of business clothing for all tastes. They have vintage inspired pieces, quirky, and subtle. If you don’t catch the sales you will have to pay a pocket load of funds however the clothes are always top notch and will last for ages.
Spiegel – Spiegel is only a catalog or online store which usually scares plus sized women because of what happens if you try it on and it doesn’t fit? Well with Spiegel there are no worries here. They let you try on and return without a hassle. The sizes are true sizes and not smaller versions thereof so if you know your size there is a 95% chance what you ordered will look great! They have a more unique array of clothing than a standard store and they also have clothes that are cut specifically for plus sized women. The prices can get expensive very much like a department store however, they have a clearance area always and the prices can be great. I get shorts there for 7-10 dollars regularly.
Remember when you are plus-sized do not settle for whatever you can find in your size; make sure what you buy looks good on your figure. It is worth the time and search to find the clothes that accentuate the curves you have without giving too much away.
