Vanessa Hudgens skyrocketed to fame after appearing in High School Musical as the shy songbird, Gabriella Montez. She met her now-boyfriend, the infamous Zac Efron on the set of the Disney Channel original movie and the two have been inseparable since.
Vanessa has a resume that most actors or artists would envy. It includes numerous awards, number one albums, starring roles in hit movies and her own successful solo career… not to mention legions of loyal fans.
Her fans’ loyalty was tested not too long ago when naked photos of Vanessa popped up all over the internet. Despite the scandal and embarrassment, Vanessa’s star still shines bright and her career is hotter than ever.
There was some speculation as to whether the 19 year old, 5’3″ actress would be dropped by Disney for High School Musical 3. Although the casting still seems to be in negotiations, there is no word from Disney that Vanessa’s role of Gabriella Montez will be offered to another actress.
So what’s next for Vanessa Hudgens? Well, she is currently working on her second album which is set to be released sometime this year. Her debut album, V, became a hit and earned her the Teen Choice Awards Choice Breakout Singer award in 2007. Her music videos for “Come Back To Me” and “Say OK” received extensive play on MTV and websites such as YouTube and MySpace.
Also on Vanessa’s schedule for 2008 is filming a new comedy called, Will. One thing is for sure, Vanessa Hudgens is going to be very busy for awhile.
