Who Are the Mayans?

Mayans and their history:

The Mayans were an ancient Indian race located in Central America. The first cultures in the new world (the Americas) believed that the written word used so many letters for their alphabet that only the high priest knew what the symbol meant. They were artists, architects, scientists, mathematicians, mechanics, historians, writers, academics, farmers, businessmen, astrologers among others. They were more skilled because they took what already existed and improved it.

The presence of the Mayan culture has been enjoyed since the present day until the year 1800 BC. Since they wrote a lot, the records were destroyed in time, and once the Spaniards were defeated they ordered to destroy the Mayan history and writings. If this were not possible, the questions we ask, we would find some answers with our scholars. But this is not the case.

The reason behind the decline of Mayan civilization is still unknown. Most scholars think it has to do with war, poor harvests, and possibly disease.

Because they believed that more time was spent in learning, teaching, and improving the already existing cultures in mathematics, they wrote from left to right and bottom to top, as most people read today. history and his calendar in 3114 BC were used to help them predict the future. They were peaceful in comparison to the Aztecs (another Indian race in the same geographical area). Peace is still included in war, blood, sacrifices, murders, and the like.

Their religion was perhaps among the most certain. They believed that human blood was famous among the gods. Royal blood is more pleasing to the gods than common blood. While they don’t “always” model human sacrifice like the Aztecs, they do openly mutilate themselves to please their gods.

When a human sacrifice was made, it was solemn in any rite and inhuman. A two-fold sacrifice, the first beat of the heart should be taken out, and this should be offered to the god alone, and the second human being should be drawn off, and the blood should be drained from the neck on the ground, in order to appease the earth to the god.

They built the pyramids in wild places, which seems difficult today with standard machines. So they did it today without machines. Their pyramids had a double use; astronomical observations, which helped to develop their calendars, that their gods were near. Until recently there was no evidence in the monuments in these pyramids like the Egyptians except the discovery of Pakal and his son Kaan Balam II tombs in Palanque Mexico changed this thinking.

they had a seat and a government. They were ruled by four kings. These four kings answered the other king. Five royal houses as many. They had great achievements in the sciences and yet the Spanish conquistadors came in 1700 AD and brought a dying culture and society to their respective conquests.

Among the greatest things the Mayans are known for is their progress in Astronomy. They used this knowledge to make their own calendars. The particular calendars that everyone is concerned about is December 21, 2012. The priest made 3 calendars based on astrology. The conservatives, as mentioned before, built this very thing at the top of their pyramids. They used their calendars to help predict the future. There were three calendars; A civil calendar based on the cycles of the sun (this is close to our Julian calendar without a leap year and having 13 instead of 12 months), a sacred calendar used for religious and ceremonial purposes, and the feast of Long Count. of times, centuries and decades. It is a long calendar that ends on December 21st, 2012.

The Mayans still live today and are a subculture under Spanish rule. They speak both languages. Their civilization flourished for 1500 years before they were assimilated into the Spanish culture. If you believe in aliens, it is believed that aliens helped guide the way this civilization flourished and developed, just as the Egyptians are believed to have had the help of extraterrestrials.
