Why I Can’t Live Without My Victoria’s Secret Sweats

As I sit here in drinking my coffee and ponder what I couldn’t live without, I start to feel like a pageant contestant. What is the most politically correct answer? World peace, friendship, conservation, family…you get the idea.

Don’t get me wrong, I am all for the ‘right’ answers. But, for some reason, I’m feeling a little selfish today and as I ask myself what I can’t live without I come up with a purely indulgent item. I realize the answer is right in front of me. Well, not exactly in front of me, but on me. I absolutely cannot live without my comfy Victoria Secret sweats.

I don’t know what age it happens and the number probably changes with each individual. But, what I do know is that at a certain point in a person’s life, comfort takes precedence over many things in life. I think it starts with comfortable shoes and progresses to other parts of our wardrobe.

For me comfort comes in the form of comfortable sweatpants. I don’t mean just any sweats, I have tried many different kinds over the years and finally found and fell in love with Victoria Secrets Pink collection sweats. Are they trendy? Maybe. Nevertheless, for me they are a major factor in my comfort level.

Have you ever found an article of clothing you love so much, that you cannot live without it? A particular shirt, pair of pants or jacket you bought in several different colors. That’s how it was for me after I bought my first pair of Victoria Secret sweats. Maybe it’s self-indulgent, but I hit that time in my life where comfort was important awhile back.

The sweats are warm, comfortable and something I look forward to throwing on after a long day. They are attractive enough, that I feel fine running errands in them. One of the reasons that they are my favorite may have to do with the fact the sweats tend to run a bit larger than I’m use to. Maybe that’s another reason I can’t live without these sweats. I get to buy a size smaller!

In my search for something I can’t live without, vanity and my own comfort took precedence over things that are more important. But maybe it’s all in how you look at it. If more people wore comfy sweats, perhaps they’d be friendlier and maybe, just maybe that would help bring about world peace and all the other politically correct answers to very important questions.
