There is something quintessentially American about Tommy Hilfiger. Along with designers such as Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors and Donna Karan, Tommy Hilfiger has become associated with classic, all-American style. When I heard that Hilfiger had a new scent called Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume, I wanted to try it. This was my first time trying a Tommy Hilfiger fragrance, and I was a bit disappointed with Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume.
Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume is a New Fragrance for Women
Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume is a mix of fruity notes and florals. My first whiff of the fragrance drew me in, and I wanted more. For an “all American” designer, there is something slightly exotic and mysterious about this fragrance. I opened Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume and decided to test it on my skin.
Initially, I enjoyed the notes of white hibiscus, tuberose, freesia and white peach. Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume has a sparkling quality when you first wear it, and the scent simultaneously reminded me of the first sunny days of spring, or warm exotic beachy nights in faraway places. The fragrance is quite complex and there seems to be a lot of competing notes in Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume.
Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume is a Disappointing Fragrance
I found that the scent of Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume which had intrigued me at the beginning only lasted a few short hours on my skin. By the end of the day, I noticed that the Perfume gave off an odor I didn’t enjoy. Perhaps it was the white woods or the orris notes that gave a dark, musky smell? Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume left a strong unpleasant odor that didn’t smell clean to me.
After a few hours, Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume smelled intolerable on my skin. I felt like I needed to wash it off my skin. I usually wear classic florals, like Tresor by Lancome, or L’Air Du Temps by Nina Ricci. I believe it’s possible for a perfume with strong notes to also smell pleasant and clean. I was very disappointed with the scent that was left on my skin after trying Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming Perfume.
