If you live in Maryland, like I do, it’s hard to find cute clothes without arm and leg. I’ve never really had any luck in the big retailers, with the crappy clothes they’ve had for the muscle guns and guns. He always took the fun out of the shopping experience. I also tried those smaller boutique styles, but the prices were outrageous. I mean, who really wants to pay $300 for a pair of jeans (don’t believe me, I paid once).
The struggle sometimes….how can I be fashionable and keep up with the latest trends, but keep within my monthly spending limits. I am a woman, I love to shop! That’s not the worst part, I now have a teenage daughter who also loves the store. Do you know how many times I have heard this voice “but mom“, just have it (top, shirt, jeans, skirt , blouse, xxxxx). Sure, after a few hundred dollars and only a few shows, it looks awesome, but I know we’ll be shopping again in a few more weeks… and some extra cash.
So I was happy to find a solution to my problems this summer. We were walking down Kentland’s main street in Gaithersburg, MD., and the sign was “Grand Opening – Mayzie Daze Boutique”. I thought to myself, ‘here it is’, another expensive boutique. But curiosity got the best of me, and I decided to go ahead. As I walked inside, I was pleasantly greeted by Lori Ferouz, who is one of the owners of the store. I looked around and the atmosphere was very charming..he drew murals on the walls, bright colors, and decorated with artwork. I then looked at the dress. Some of Nike’s clothes are very unique. I wasn’t the most ardent fashion shopper, but I noticed some very nice styles. (I try to keep up with the latest fashion-trends-for-men”>fashion in several ways) buying month).
I was thinking to myself, this is definitely just overpriced. Then I looked at the price of the blouse. Huh? Only $39 for this shirt? Wait, I must have made a mistake, so I checked someone else. $29 for this? how pleasantly shocked! What was even more interesting than the prices was that the quality of the clothes seemed to be of the highest quality. After talking to Lori for a bit, she told me that Mayzie Daze bought a lot of clothes from all over the world. Then she told me about her recent trip from Los Angeles and showed me that she had brought some drops back with her. I am very impressed.
My daughter was running around the store and checking everything. You can imagine how a teen would react to all the trendy clothes just found. The great thing about the store was that the sizes were perfect for him and me. They had deviations, younger, and plus sized women. Not to mention all the purses, jewelry and other items we found there. I could not resist. That day I had to buy some clothes!
Needless to say, Mayzie Daze has become one of our clothing stores in the Maryland area. Lori told me that they are relaunching their website www.mayziedaze.com, and they hope to eventually sell their clothes and bras online< /a>. That would be great, I have many friends who live in Bethesda, Rockville and Silver Spring.
