Words of Wisdom to Live by – Friendship

It is said in Proverbs that a friend loves at all times. There could not be a better definition of friendship. Most people are looking for such a friend, and when one is found, it is worth more than the price.

So what does a friend do? Proverbs mentions love and working all the time. The word love is so used in these hard days to define. at this point we must consider the qualities which constitute love in friendship. We often think of love as an emotion, but when love expresses itself in action, it can be exercised all the time, not just when the emotional impulse kicks in. What does love actually look like? How does friendship work? When we see love in this context, we see that it can work all the time with the will of the person extending to it. These are the things you want in a true friend.

A friend expresses love by taking care of you first.

A true friend will be your best friend. He will also when it comes to him. That kind of love requires your friend to be successful even at his own expense. The other is organized more than the self is organized. When you find such a friend, hang on to him. Rare indeed. Most people study in themselves and it takes a true quality of love to put on another person first.

A friend expresses love by thinking the best of you.

If something is said or done that calls into question your character, a true friend will assume the best and be the first to defend you. He will give the benefit of the doubt. He will expect the best from you and will show his faith by allowing himself to be with you. What kind of friend helps you more than you think you can.

A true friend imitates integrity.

Integrity of character is a character much to be desired in a friend. A friend is someone you can trust, who will never lie to you or about you. A friend is someone whose behavior is bad. You are confident that his opinions can be trusted. They will not be given any confidence. His word is good, and you can trust him to follow through on it.

A friend expresses love by telling you the truth.

When you find a friend who will speak the truth with love, you find a true friend. He loves you enough and wants the best to show you enough of what you might be missing. You can trust a friend who loves you enough to tell you the truth even when you don’t like it. Willing to risk a relationship because he wants the best for you.

A friend expresses love when he hears.

Hearing like that is rare these days. A friend who is willing to listen to your bad, good and bad, or just when you want to be angry, you will find it wonderful. He doesn’t judge you because he knows you’re just a sounding board, and because he loves you, he’s able to be there for you.

A friend expresses love when he does not bail for the time being.

A friend expresses love when he doesn’t try to be your “everything in everything”.

He will know when you need to stand your ground and let you do what you want. He will encourage you, but go forward in your decisions, knowing that you need to grow, and in turn, he will be a better friend to you. He won’t feel threatened when other friends seem to be in charge of your life, realizing that they can contribute to other things that he can’t. He is not jealous.

True friendship has a long life.

A friend invites you to be and enjoys the relationship you have with him. it will be around for a long time. Long friendships are to be valued. Even if the meetings are separate, it creates an update of that relationship almost immediately. That’s one of the signs you have a true friend. The relationship is not resolved because of the distance.
