I’m an on and off ice cream fan. There are times where I’ll only have ice cream for dinner for a straight month, and other times where I won’t touch the stuff for months at a time.
I had done very well on diet this past summer, but when the first months of fall approached, I was I’m going back to my old habits of binge eating. I have, however, cut off a portion of the known sizes, so that there is more.
My introduction to the fatty foods world led back to Edy’s. I don’t blame them, though, for the lack of sobriety… The fault, although the 3 flavors fall, despite the words Limited Edition sprinkled throughout the ice cream containing it.
This time I wasn’t able to give the limited edition flavors a try.
My first victim was pumpkin ice cream. The most beautiful orange and cream is the color of the container that my eye has detected. Bold fall colors me so; but the flavor of the ice cream that said ‘I’m good, I’m home.
Pumpkin ice cream. This was something I had never experienced before. I like pumpkins pumpkin, I like pumpkins, so why not try pumpkin ice cream. either it tasted like garbage or it was divine. Seeing how Edy’s has always been a favorite of mine, I acquired it thinking it tasted divine.
I opened the yanked house, took a dip in my spoon to taste.
Holy crap!
Oh no they didn’t!? Don’t they take the essence of the pumpkin pie and whip it into the ice cream? They did it spontaneously! Edy’s pumpkin ice cream tastes like pumpkin pie, only… it’s ice cream.
The palette is confusing at first. When it comes to pumpkin pie, he thinks about the creamy texture, the sweet aromatic flavor, and in some cases, the fact that the pie is hot.
Putting an ice cold pumpkin pie into your mouth is a weird way to eat, but it’s still just as delicious. .
The pumpkin ice cream is slowly churned, so the ice cream has that real smooth texture that an actual pie has; just much, much cooler.
The ice cream itself is orange and has little hints of spice like you would see in a pumpkin pie.
However, I think they mixed pumpkin pie and whipped it into a thick ice cream! I am so convinced. You have to experience it to believe it.
Pricing and availability:
I actually got my tub of Eddy Pumpkin ice cream at a local grocery store for $2.50. It usually costs me $6.49, which is a bit steep for ice cream.
This particular flavor should be easy to get now, because it’s in season. However, it will not always be. When it falls, so does the flavor, and you have to wait for it to come back next fall…if that. If you find it, buy it! (It will be available at any local grocery frozen food on the island).
Pumpkin ice cream is not for everyone. If you don’t like pumpkin pie, you don’t want Edy’s pumpkin ice cream. For everyone, though, it’s frozen.
Fat:
Eddy Pumpkin ice cream is also not as bad as you think. Contains only 4 grams of fat per 1/2 cup. As long as the pig is not released, you can save your summer diet in the fall. .
