Biography
Eleanor Roosevelt was born in October 1884 in October 1884. She started her life very shy, but she was able to move beyond that. She married Franklin Roosevelt in 1905. Eleanor helped him while he was in the senate and active in politics. He became president and became first lady in 1933 Eleonora was the first lady because she used her voice. She also helped her husband get polio eyes and ears. According to an article I read in Eleanor, author Doris Goodwin says “Eleanor gave a voice to people who have no power.” She was the first woman to speak at a national convention, to write a syndicated column, as
I wanted to make my own paper guide about Aleanor because she is a good role model. He used his talents in public speaking and organizing to lead change in the United States. She inspires me because she became the first “first lady” to break out of traditional roles and become a powerful leader. She also inspires me because she knew what she believed in and never let them down. He was a leader in his manner, and used his talents. She is the type of person I would like to be behind the scenes.
Theory of Principality
When I looked at the way Eleanor led, I can say that she was a transformational leader (Hamilton, 273). She inspired others to follow her in the women’s movement, and she also advised her husband. His vision was able to explain many of his ideas. She formulated and implemented plans to create child care centers for working women (Goodwin, 2). She would often provide her husband, the president with memos and reports about her dinner ideas. Criticize and provide for the consequences of his. I would say he also had charisma. She was lovely and carried herself in a way that people wanted to hear what she had to say.
In addition to being a transformational leader, Eleanor’s ego also falls into the brand theory of leadership. She had great organizational skills in which she used to organize the civil rights and women’s movements. She was also clever and creative. One example of that is the concept of journalism. Eleanor only held press conferences for women (Gerber). This opened the way for women in journalism. News teams had to hire women journalists so they could attend interviews and get the inside scoop. I think it’s a great example of how creative she was.
Characteristics of Leadership
I am amazed that Mrs. Roosevelt was a great leader, but she worked hand in hand with another great leader, her husband. He admired him, but also felt that he could be inspired by his thoughts. I really like this feature of it. We are becoming leaders working in the world, but we still need to work with other leaders. He did this well. I strive to have the ability to work together with others in leadership positions. My part was to be seen from the princes, and he understood to listen to them.
I also like how Eleonora saw her role. Eleanor knew that being a lady was the first part of the traditional role, yet she went beyond that. He created new opportunities and defined his role as he saw it. This impacted me positively. I may not be in a great leadership role at this time in my life, but I can make my way to leadership. I can move and define the projects I’m working on. can I accept volunteer and leadership opportunities I really admire Eleanor’s ability to go beyond what is expected of her.
The last feature I really like is that Eleanor had values and stuck to them. She knew what was right in her heart and she pushed it. He worked for the civil rights movement because he thought it was right. He didn’t care what other people thought. I always want to keep the true values that I believe in and never compromise. Now in the company I work in, corporate values are very important.
Guided by my Style
I think I fall into the traitor theory of leadership (Hamilton, 273). Like Eleanor Roosevelt, I am extremely organized. I always stay on top of the many projects I’m working on in my capacity. I also consider myself creative and I encourage the Destruction of Destruction sessions when I am a leader in the design.
I think it also falls into the category of leadership theory because it results. I come to the council. I sell people on my ideas, and then push them to do the work. Many people can come up with a plan, but that’s what matters.
When I look at the road, I think that I have many important features. I am highly motivated to succeed. I hold myself to a high standard. I feel confident in my abilities to lead projects. I also have strong technical skills and always try to stay on top of new technologies.
I just think that I was born with certain characteristics that could make me a good leader. The hard part for me is that I am early in my life. I need to work hard and volunteer to put myself in positions to practice those leadership skills. So far I think I have done a good job of doing this in my work and personal life.
My strengths and weaknesses
I think I will be a very good leader. I have good listening skills and I can listen to the ideas of my team. I am a creative person who is good at problem solving. I support my team. I offer encouragement and am appreciative of the work that people help to accomplish.
I like to stay on top of my learning. I am pursuing my masters degree and am also constantly learning new technical skills. I am also an avid reader. These hobbies help me become a better person by guiding me. By learning new things, I can back up my ideas with facts, and give my team a reason to believe what they’re saying.
Although I have many strengths, I have many weaknesses as a leader. I see these areas for my improvement and I hope to turn them into strengths someday.
I think sometimes I don’t talk as much as I should. Since I’m not a leader in a group, I often find myself holding back ideas because I don’t want to seem like I’m taking on the job of someone else’s team leader. I will learn to speak more and offer my suggestions.
It was my second weakness that I identified in my behavior profile. I am quick to take advice and I need to know how other people act. I think overall, I need to use what I identified in my character profile to improve my leadership. I need to learn to read better and times, my submission to their behavior. I think I can help get better results in my team.
I think the biggest weakness they have right now is lack of experience. I’ve only been in the company for four months, so I can’t be an expert on that. I am trying my best to learn about the history and service of the state, but there is no way that someone who has been there for such a short time can compete with someone who has been there for fifteen or thirty years. This weakness, which I am aware of, I try to talk to those who have often been there for a long time, so that I continue to learn more about the culture of my company.
To conclude my paper, I think Eleanor Roosevelt has shown a lot of character as a leader and proved why I admire her so much. I also valued my leadership abilities. In writing this paper, I became more aware of the areas where I need to become a stronger leader.
