Summer will soon be here and with it come parties, beaches, park rides and picnics. Make these events more memorable with these fun games geared more for adults! Fresh or dry, these games are sure to add life to your party.
Box or Bucket(From the page “The Source For Youth Ministry”)
Goal: The object of this game is to avoid getting wet by building a wall of cardboard boxes a> around your team. The team with the least amount of people that gets wet wins.
Materials needed: 10-20 medium to large cardboard boxes, blinds, buckets and water.
Mechanics: Cover a group of 8-10 people and place them between the boxes. Tell them they have 2 minutes to form a wall around them using the boxes. The wall does not have to be higher than one box, but it must go around the whole group. The wall cannot have any openings larger than 3 inches. When it’s time to board, every gap in their wall wider than 3″ will be thrown a bucket of water into the group. Any group inadvertently left outside the wall will get their own bucket of water!
Hip-Hip-Hooray!
This is a fun game which is originally from a game show in the Philippines called “Wowowee” and does not require any props. All we need is someone who is fun and willing to play manager and a group of 10 or more people to participate. Having a wireless microphone would be helpful but not required.
Goal: The last person left would be the winner
Mechanics: The moderator will show each player. Persona 1 will shout “Hip hip!” while she bowed with a clap between her legs. Person 2 will shout “Yay!” signed with both arms. Each player will alternate shouting “Hip Hip” and “Hooray” when the Moderator defends himself. For whoever errs, or utters a wrong word, or does a wrong action, will be eliminated.

Water Balloon Burst
Goal: The couple who breaks all the fish in their water first wins!
Necessary materials: water fish, chairs
