Applebee’s Grilled Shrimp and Spinach Salad Review

Applebee’s Grilled Shrimp Salad is delicious with hot bacon vinaigrette and healthy, fresh spinach leaves.

As long as you put the fattening dressing on the side, and hold the bacon, it’s a diet-friendly salad. For my review, I just ordered their creamy avocado dressing on the side. But I also taste-tested the hot bacon vinaigrette which reminded me of hot German potato salad.

I liked the roasted red peppers in the Applebee’s Grilled Shrimp and Spinach Salad, but felt they went a little overboard with too many pieces of red onions. I’d request they go easy or hold the onions, depending if you like onions. The toasted almonds added a nice crunch and some health benefit to the already healthy spinach salad.

My favorite part of the Applebee’s Grilled Shrimp and Spinach was the hot grilled shrimp. They gave me plenty of shrimp, and it was still sizzling.

But if you are trying to be a virtuous dieter by eating salads, you may be in for a rude awakening:

Other salads on the Applebee’s menu include the Pecan-Crusted Chicken salad and the Santa Fe Chicken salad.

For taste, I give the Applebee’s Grilled Shrimp and Spinach Salad 4 out of 5 stars. For nutrition, I give the half size a 4 out of 5 and the full size 2 out of 5.
