Be Kool soft gel sheets may be marketed toward children, but are a wonderful product for adults as well. They are a cool way to cool down feverish and aching heads as well as supporting other symptoms. If you’ve ever wrestled with a cool compress or washcloth trying to keep it both cool and on your, or your child’s, head – Be Kool soft gel sheets are for you. So toss out that damp ice pack and try the inexpensive, disposable, portable cooling of Be Kool sheets.
The gel filled cooling Be Kool sheets are wonderful for relieving and supporting such conditions and symptoms both in children and adults such as:
-Fevers:
While Be Kool gel sheets, cannot in themselves treat or lower a fever, it can cool the forehead and relieve some fever related discomfort and feelings of hotness.
–Headaches & Migraines:
For some users the Be Kool gel sheets alone without oral pain reliever will be enough to relieve some headaches. Other users may find that they get moderate to significant relief from the Be Kool gel sheets. But these users may find that they still need to combine the Be Kool sheets with oral pain medication.
-Special Tips for Headache & Migraine Sufferers:
If your pain is on your temples instead of, or in addition to, your forehead-the Be Kool sheets can simply be trimmed with scissors to fit the temples. Some users may need a whole pad over the forehead and cut down sheets also over the temple areas.
I like to use the Be Kool sheet on my forehead while using heat on my neck. I took a large men’s sock and filled it with regular white rice (not instant rice) and tied off the end. Then I heat this neck sized heat wrap in the microwave. I heat it for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Being careful not to burn myself, I place it on my neck and find that it helps me relax. Sometimes I find that relaxing my neck with heat helps in addition to the Be Kool sheets even when my neck is not particularly painful.
-Nausea:
While Be Kool gel sheets, cannot in themselves treat nausea, they can be an excellent supportive measure for nausea. They can soothe and comfort the user somewhat, providing a supportive measure for nausea. Be Kook gel sheets would be perfect for those suffering from the flu, morning sickness due to pregnancy or side effects of chemotherapy.
-Hot Flashes & Night Sweats Related to Menopause:
While Be Kool gel sheets cannot in themselves treat hot flashes or night sweats, they can be an excellent supportive measure. The sheets can provide a soothing cooling sensation that makes the hot flashes and night sweats more bearable. Be Kool also makes special sheets just for hot flash sufferers that are larger than the headache sheets.
-Special Tips for Hot Flash & Night Sweat Sufferers :
Hot flash and night sweat sufferers should use 100% cotton sheets. Sleeping in 100% natural fibers such as cotton or silk is also recommended. Keep a bottle or glass of ice water by the bed on the night stand and drink a little when you feel a hot flash or night sweat coming on. Placing a ceiling fan in the bedroom or a small fan in the bedroom can also be helpful.
Cooling Down When Over Heated or For Relaxation, Meditation or Insomnia:
Be Kool soft gel sheets are very good at cooling down your forehead when you are overheated from hot weather or exercise. They don’t take the place of adding fluids to your body through drinking water or other beverages, but are a good support. Do not use them if you think you have heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Professional care is needed for those conditions and should not be attempted to treat at home. Be Kool sheets are also good for relaxing tense forehead muscles for relaxation or meditation. Insomniacs could also find the sheets very soothing.
-Different Sizes of Be Kool Sheets:
Be Kool soft gel sheets are marketed in both the children’s and adult’s sizes. Children and many smaller adults can use the children’s size. I actually would recommend trying the children’s size first to most adults, because they are usually somewhat cheaper than the adult’s size. I used to use the slightly larger, more expensive Migraine Ice pads by a competitor. I now only use the children’s size Be Kool sheets since they are much more affordable.
-Where To Buy Be Kool Sheets:
Be Kool sheets are sold at drugstores and mass market stores such as Wal-Mart or K-Mart, usually by the pain relievers and fever reducers. A box with two packets containing two sheets (for a total of four sheets) can usually be bought for under $3.00. Drugstore.com carries them also for $3.59 – $5.29

-How To Use Be Kool Sheets:
Be Kool sheets are extremely simple to use. Simply carefully tear open a packet, remove a sheet, remove the clear plastic backing from the sheet, and place it on the forehead pressing down on it gently to place it. Remember you can cut the sheet down to fit smaller heads or to fit the temples.
Be sure that you place the remaining unused sheet securely back in the package keeping the air out. Air will dry the unused sheet out. Personally, I like to put the opened package in a plastic baggie after folding down the top of the package.
The box says that you can also store packages of sheets in the refrigerator, but not the freezer. I have never done so, since the sheets do not require any refrigeration or refreshment to stay cool. Remember not to store unused sheets in a bathroom, because the moisture would be damaging to the sheets.
Be sure not to get the sheets in your eyes, because they can cause minor irritation. The sheets will not stick well to hair, including eyebrows. Do not use any lotion, Icy Hot or other substance in addition to, or under, the sheet placed on your forehead or temples. Do not use the sheets on wounded or sun burnt skin, as this could cause irritation. The sheets will not stick to wet skin, so be sure the skin is dry.
The sheets should provide a cooling sensation, similar to Icy Hot rub, but milder. The cooling sensation should last for up to six hours. When the sheet is to be removed, simply pull it off and dispose of it. The sheets are not to be flushed down the toilet, but properly disposed of in a trash can. It is not recommended to reuse sheets, nor does it seem possible to do so since they would dry out too quickly to be reused. The Be Kool sheets should stick to your head even when standing or moving. If they should loosen, simply replace them and press down.
Note that small children who would try to place the sheets in their mouths (if they should yank them off or temporarily fall off), should not use Be Kool Sheets. Be Kool Sheets are safe to use with any medication, as long as you don’t apply it topically under the sheet.
Personally I always keep several packages of Be Kool on hand for headaches and migraines. Many times using the pad alone has allowed me to sleep away a headache when I otherwise would be too uncomfortable to rest. But other times, it allows me to rest a bit until the oral pain medication kicks in. Every migraine and headache sufferer and parent should keep this on hand. I highly recommend this product to everyone.
