It’s getting really hard to find good old Cantonese style Chinese food. Fortunately, China Tea House in Torrance is still around. My friend would call Chinese food here 100% ABC (American Born Chinese). I call it authentic ABC food and everything is delicious.
When you walk in, you are welcomed with open arms and seated at a booth or at a table. The restaurant is pretty big, and I heard it fills up during rush hour, which is pretty amazing. This place is not a secret. It has everything you would expect from a typical old Chinese restaurant: whole family meals, main meals, banquet tables, and more 100 items on the board. And, not to mention, it served family style. Fast, efficient and friendly service.
Let’s start with Chow Mein. As a rule, I always order the House Special Chow Mein, which literally means it has everything: chicken, vegetables, shrimp, etc. And this was the first test he sent. Second, the most important is the taste test. I’m not a kid; This is one of the two best Chow Mein dishes I have ever tasted in my life. It is incomparable that the other restaurant was closed a few years ago. The texture of the noodles was perfect, enhanced by the taste of sodium and the chicken, vegetables, scallops and shrimp blended well with the overall flavor. And the House Special Chop Suey? Ditto on that one.
Pork in Sweet and sour Pork: the less bread it has, the better it is. Sweet and Sour Pork lightly breaded here – good points for that. And because it’s so lightly breaded, the pieces of pork are bigger than most other places. The sauce is a good combination of sweet and sour. The beef with ginger and scallion has a generous serving of ginger and the grade of beef is better than other places. Kudos to using quality ingredients.
If you go during lunch time, they have over 80 lunch specials, and lunch comes with soup of the day, salad and steamed or fried rice. rice. Elit et sem not on the internet, but on the internet. It is available daily from 11 am – 3 pm.
I understand that this review is all crazy, but the taste of Chinese food has grown in, and it is very difficult to find these days, sometimes when I do, the taste is disappointing. If you grew up in the Los Angeles area until the 1980s, this is definitely the place for you. If you can’t, it’s at least worth it, because it’s a different flavor than modern Chinese food, and of course you’ll experience a different kind of flavor on the East Coast. But for me, everything I’ve had here is the best I’ve ever experienced. As I noticed my parents one day with my a>, I can always find food here, even if I am completely full
