Costa Mesa Omelet Bar 179 E. 17th St., Ste A tucked inside a mini-mall that needs an overhaul. The surrounding shops are rather deserted and dirty, the parking lot is a good size, but there are holes in it, and some locals may wonder exactly why you’re here—but don’t let that stop you!
This “no reservation” hole in the wall restaurant serves up some great omelets, pancakes and waffles! The waitresses all dressed like Cindi Lauper lessons, but every time my husband and I were at this cozy place the service was warm, friendly and very efficient. All the omelets cost the same, which means that my food is my husband’s favorite order of sausage, bacon and ham and my lion, with zucchini, tomatoes, peppers and onions and with to take home< /a> if you don’t feel like having lunch, you can get burgers, sandwiches and also triple deck salads.I personally love a whole grain English muffin with a simply delicious homemade apple butter for breakfast. My. What’s amazing about so many things is how much they jump with apple butter when you order your order. Not only will you need to cover yourself with another piece of bread or muffin, you’ll probably just want to treat yourself to even more. It really should be enjoyed at home!
The atmosphere at the Costa Mesa Omelet Bar is quite homey. Lace curtains on real and fake windows, pictures of historic Costa Mesa on the walls, uneven wood-paneled floors and step-up stairs to the cabins. The floors also creak in some places. And look – uneven maps can be dangerous when you don’t expect “peaks and valleys”. It is the perfect place for informal family or friends get-togethers. If the kids make noise, no one will hear them, there is a roar of activity from waiting staff and all the chatter of the patrons. It was our first time there, our kids didn’t want to be seen in the middle of the scene with their parents, but they enjoyed the atmosphere and the taste of the food and wanted to know when we could go back!
Another good reason to check out this site family members is because the prices are quite reasonable. The menu is really nothing special, dining is essentially food not even with flair, but what makes it good is that it is done very well. Incredibly long lines speak for quality. I’ll face it, if the food and service weren’t really good, the only parking lot would drive away. customers
I highly recommend the Costa Mesa Omelet Bar-if you don’t like to wait, I suggest getting up very early or early in the morning before the break-in and before the business crowd starts to come for lunch. You will not be sorry.
